Mission 1 - part 2 | Hierarchy UaW: EA Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Second objective: Assault the second Novus base cluster
The second base is to the west of your current location (3 on the map). Obviously you will have to go there right away. Also, it won't be that easy, because you'll encounter a lot of tanks and robots along the way. You should be fine as long as you're not moving too fast. Don't waste any more time trying to test out Orlok's Siege ability. You won't need it to destroy mobile targets. Once you've reached the second base (screen), focus all of your attention on the Flow Generator. Now you should finally consider using the Siege Mode. This will allow you to destroy the generator almost instantly. Once this is done, start firing at the remaining buildings of the base. You won't leave this area for at least one more minute, so make sure that you've neutralized all nearby objects, including enemy units.
Third objective: Assault the third Novus base cluster
Fourth objective: The Habitat Walker must survive
Now you'll finally find out more about the most interesting aspect of being able to command Hierarchy units. You will have to wait for your leader to grant with a possibility of using a Walker (4 on the map). You will be allowed to take full control over it. Before you decide to proceed any further, make sure that you've familiarized yourself with the basics (question icons). You should listen to a few hints and don't forget that you can see a movie about Walkers. It's accessible from the main menu of the Tutorials section. Click on your newly acquired unit and you should notice that a lot of icons have appeared on the screen. Those are called hardpoints. You will be able to fill them by buying various types of components. I'd strongly recommend filling all slots, so that the Walker isn't exposed anywhere. You should also remember that placing a few modules of the same type allows you to increase their overall strength.
You won't have to do anything perfectly, because obviously this is an introductionary mission, so it's not going to be too difficult. Try filling all available slots. Start with the lower legs of the Walker. I would recommend buying at least one Armor Plating module, so your Walker will be able to withstand more damage. You should also acquire an additional Plasma Turret. As for the upper arms, you should consider buying upgrades which will allow you to summon new types of units. Lost One Pod seems like the best choice here. I would recommend manufacturing a few units right away. Build both types of units - Grunts and Lost One troops. Try spending all available resources on them. Alternatively you could save some credits for the additional upgrades of the Walker, however this won't be necessary.
The final phase of this mission is going to be quite simple. Select all your units and start moving north-west. That's where you'll be able to find the third Novus base (5 on the map). Obviously you will have to remember that your Walker is moving very slowly. Prevent your standard units from moving too close to the base. That also includes your main character Orlok. Wait for the Walker to reach this new area. Once it's there, focus on destroying the Flow Generator. Once again, you should consider activating the Siege Mode ability. After that, deal with the remaining Novus buildings. Nanocenter seems to be the most important one, so make sure that it goes down quickly. Allow all your units to take part in this battle. Once you've destroyed the third base, this mission will come to an end. You'll also be rewarded with a longer cut-scene.
