Masari tree | Technology trees UaW: EA Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
LIGHT MATTER BRANCH
Burning Brilliance (Level 1) While being in the Light Matter mode, your buildings will emit a special type of an energy which can damage enemy units. Not useful since you'll want to prevent your enemies from reaching your base.
Remote Harm (Level 1) The Seer receives an additional ability - he can harm enemy objects with the light matter.
Call Hero: Lord Charos (Level 2) I'm sure that you're familiar with lord Carhos by now, because you were controlling him during the course of the third campaign. This is an useful character, so you should consider summoning him.
Burning Fury (Level 2) This technology upgrades your most useful units - Conqueror tanks. They receive a new ability - Energy Vortex. Quite useful, so you should consider reaching the second level of this technology tree.
Immolation (Level 2) This is a useless technology, at least in my personal opinion. You don't need it, unless you're a rookie player. Buying this technology allows your Matter Engine buildings to activate self-destruct feature.
Molecular Instability (Level 3) Acquiring this technology grants your Peacebringer units with a new ability. You won't be using them too often, so you may as well ignore it.
Phoenix (Level 3) This is also a poor technology. There's a chance that some of your air units (Sky Lords & Inquisitors) may be resurrected once they've been killed.
Piercing Gaze (Level 4) This is an upgrade for the Oracle building. Acquiring this technology increases the chance of sending a deadly ray which damages your enemy. I would recommend spending a research point of something else.
Burst Threshold (Level 4) This is an interesting choice. Having this technology increases the duration of your superweapon attack by 100%. |
DARK MATTER BRANCH
Unseen Barrier (Level 1) This technology gives your Sky Guardian turrets a Gust ability which may be quite useful. As a result, you should consider unlocking this first level of the Dark Matter branch.
Advanced Dark Matter Amor (Level 1) Your structures receive a much better armor. The effects are visible only if you're using the Dark Energy mode (for obvious reasons).
Call Hero: Queen Altea (Level 2) Altea is one of the most interesting characters of the Masari organization. I'd strongly recommend that you consider summoning her to the battlefield.
Aversion (Level 2) This technology isn't too useful, because it concerns only your Sky Lord units. They receive a new ability which allows them to "push back" enemy units.
Area Denial (Level 2) This is an upgrade for the mines used by Figment units. I would recommend acquiring this technology if you're using them, especially since you'll receive bonuses for both matter modes (they're different).
Facilitated Growth (Level 3) You will receive a very good bonus for the Inquisitor units. It's important, because they can't leave the ground in the Dark Energy mode. Instead, they can increase the regeneration process of DMA shields.
Dark Matter Affinity (Level 3) This is an interesting technology. Unlocking it allows your units to receive a fully charged armor by default, instead of having to wait for it to regain full power. I'd strongly recommend choosing this bonus.
Dark Embrace (Level 4) This is a very similar technology to Burst Threshold. The main difference is that the Dark Matter version of the superweapon is improved. It can stay active for a longer period of time and it heals your units.
Dark Matter Mastery (Level 4) This is also a very interesting technology, mostly because it allows your DMA shields to keep regenerating, even if your units are engaged in battle. |
BALANCE BRANCH
Stationary Revelation (Level 1) Useless technology, at least in my personal opinion. Line of sight for your structures is increased by 25%. That's it.
Methods of Deception (Level 1) This technology is also one of the least useful ones. Your Sentry units are invisible to enemy radars and your Seer receive an additional bonus to protection.
Call Hero: Prince Zessus (Level 2) Prince Zessus is the worst character of the Masari race, at least in my opinion. You can try him out if you want to, because he appears often during the course of the third campaign.
Reconstruction (Level 2) An interesting technology. Your Architect is able to reconstruct the vehicle for Avenger.
Stasis (Level 2) This is an interesting ability, reserved only for Inquistior units. Affected units (friend or foe) become unavailable to everyone else. This means they can't be attacked, moved or injured.
Unregulated Conversion (Level 3) This technology seems to be useless, however only if you tend to prevent enemies from attacking your base. Unlocking this option allows your Matter Engine buildiungs to feed on nearby enemies.
Cleansing Energy (Level 3) A very useful technology. Unlocking it allows you to heal available units from all side effects while switching between available matter modes.
Energy Stream (Level 4) This is also an interesting achievement. Matter Engine buildings start gathering 50% more energy.
| |
Shadowed Perception (Level 4) You shouldn't be too interested in this bonus. Your Seer is capable of hiding buildings and units which are located around him. |
