This page of our guide to Uncharted Drake's Fortune contains a detailed description of Chapter 20 - Race to the Rescue. This stage partly takes place in the open air, and partly inside the cathedral. You will take part in many battles with mercenaries, and extremely dangerous enemy snipers. Luckily, our walkthrough reveals the hiding spots of all snipers.

Nathan went back into the jungle. He immediately turned around - in the bushes near the hole there was a Gold Ingot.[1] Drake collected it with a smile.[2]

Nate rushed on. Nate had to save his friends. He started a short hike down the hill - it didn't last long. He reached the buildings and when he ran through the tunnel he turned right - he killed two enemies, thus helping Sully.[1] But that was not the end of the problems. Nathan ran up to the curtain, next to which a sniper rifle was lying. At first, he killed the sniper over Sullivan's head.[2]

Then, he went to the left side of the wall - in front of him, between the elements of the monument, he saw a grenade launcher.[1] Both heroes finished off all remaining enemies. The next part of the battle started when Nate reached Sullivan - now they had to eliminate another sniper (on the tower), a guy equipped with a grenade launcher (on the balcony) and a few regular enemies who ran out of a passageway located between them (at the bottom).[2] When this side was cleared, the two turned right - there were a few more bandits incoming (trying to sneak into their hideout).

When area was clear, they both ran to the large cathedral, and Nate opened the door.[1] Inside, they were in the middle of a real slaughterhouse, with lots of enemies lurking around the altar. Nathan quickly hid behind the first left pillar and picked up a sniper rifle. At first, he shot down the guy with a laser sight at the top right. Now, he was hunting two bandits with grenade launchers, who were wandering between benches. After eliminating the aforementioned enemies, he wiped out the rest of the snipers - more sniper rifle ammo was lying near the second bench on the right[2].

After defeating bandits equipped with sniper rifles, Nate retreated to Sully, and from there they eliminated all enemy troops approaching from both sides of the benches - it was important to keep an eye on the left side, because enemies could flank our heroes.[1] After wiping out a large group of enemies, the duo ran towards the altar and turned around. More opponents have spawned near the entrance. By shooting from behind the columns (those with candle lamps), heroes managed to kill all enemies - the primary target was, as usual, a sniper who was hiding above the entrance.[2] When the opponents were eliminated, Drake approached the altar and, with Sully's help, opened a secret passageway.
