On this page of our guide to Uncharted: Drake's Fortune you will find a walkthrough of Chapter 3 - A Surprising Find. In the first part of this chapter it is necessary to reach the wreck of the boat and this means that you have to complete many climbing sequences. In the second part of the chapter you have to take part in a series of battles with enemies.

To get to the boat we had to encircle it. Nathan jumped into the water and swam towards the waterfall - just before it, he turned right into a small bay. There he went ashore and ran to the vine hanging in front of the wall. [1] After swinging on it, he jumped onto the rocks on his right. On the rocks, he turned around and made a long jump onto the stones. Then he used a small rocky edge to grab the second rope [2].

After swinging on the second rope, the hero jumped further to the left and grabbed a narrow edge. From there, he jumped to the left again and climbed over the two edges on a moss-covered ledge. Then he moved on. At its end, he grabbed another rocky ledge and jumped from it to the third vine. [1] While hanging on the third rope, covered with yellowish leaves, instead of continuing the journey, he climbed up. At the top, he found a Gold Tairona Pendant. [2]

After collecting the necklace, Nate continued his journey on the rocky shelf to the left instead of going back to the vine. Behind the corner, he jumped to the next edge and climbed onto another safe area. [1] After walking further, the hero had to make a jump over the abyss. Finally, he reached the end of the road. Then, he once again had to move further while hanging on the edge. [2]

At the end it turned out that there was only one way down. Nate jumped down and grabbed a lower rocky ledge. [1] While hanging on it, he moved to his right side. From there, he jumped onto another block. Then, he jumped on a narrow, two-level area and climbed to a higher level. Once again, he was hanging on the edge over the chasm and he was slowly moving to the right. From there, he jumped right and down. Finally, he managed to land on the boat itself. [2]

Before Nate entered the boat, he went to the front part of the boat (the bow) - he found a valuable Gold and Turquoise Inca Earring. [1] After collecting the treasure, the hero went inside through a manhole. [2]

Nathan went down the ladder and was struck by the scent of death. The protagonist started to wander around the boat, sometimes opening quite rusty hatches (by pressing the Triangle and making circles with the Left Analog Stick on the controller). After reaching the lower deck, he discovered another corpse and coins. He moved on, and opened another hatch. He swam the water to reach the ladder and climbed up. In the last room he discovered what he was looking for - a clue. [1] Something has happened to Sullivan. The hero started his way back, this time walking straight ahead, unintentionally launching one of the torpedoes. After going ashore, it turned out that new friends have joined the treasure hunting game. [2]

After a violent discussion, Nate had to flee. By running down the rocky ledge to the right [1], he encountered an enemy, whom he disarmed in his characteristic style (Square, Triangle, Square). [1] After a short run through the ravine, he has met... Elena, who had a gun. Time for a revenge. After hiding behind one of the columns (towards the ruins with red flares) he opened fire on enemies. He quickly got rid of all opponents while staying at a safe cover. [2]

The two went on to go through the ruins. Around the corner, marked with another red flare, there was an opponent guarding the area (Nathan has stunned him by hitting enemy's head). After eliminating the enemy, our hero quickly turned around and aimed upwards - he killed the opponent above with a headshot. [1] Together with Elena, they climbed up the ledge and hid behind large columns in the next room - the opponents who had to be eliminated have spawned in front of protagonists. [2]

After clearing the path, Nate moved towards the way from where the enemies had just arrived. Downstairs, Nate had to jump between subsequent stone floors. Far ahead there was another armed bandit. [1] By running through the locations already well-known to Nathan, the two heroes had to face another group of enemies. The way to the exit was marked by red flares - the rest of the path was already memorized by our traveler (climb up the ladder and move on the column above the abyss). [2] An unpleasant surprise was awaiting our heroes - right after reaching the open area, they were attacked. After eliminating all enemies, they went to the car and drove away.
