On this page of the Tunic guide, we will focus on The Quarry. You will learn its key features, the most important places, connections with other locations and microlocations, enemies living there, as well as a map of the entire area.
Key Features
The Quarry (map above) is a quite demanding location, full of shortcuts, secrets and treasures, the entrance to which is hidden in the northwest of the Overworld, above the cliff guarded by the Envoy. This is where you need to go to get one of the three keys needed to complete the game. Interestingly, you can also get to the Quarry from the Mountain Door. The hidden descent is next to the cliff, right next to the big door (more precisely to the right of it).
In order to find the aforementioned key, you have to go to The Rooted Ziggurat described on the map. As you can see, however, its location is not marked. To find this hidden temple, you must first go to the Monastery, which you will find at the very top of the Quarry. All you have to do is go straight ahead and stick to the rock shelves - you will surely get there.
If you decide to explore it thoroughly, you should also try to get the weapon located in the south-west of the Quarry, at the very bottom of it. The scaffolding and the tracks on which you will be walking have ladders and places where you have to jump down.
Enemies
In the Quarry, you won't come across too many different opponents, because it's a place controlled by Scavengers. All of them are there - some use a sniper rifle, some fight using a huge sword, and some with pyrotechnics. Be careful, because they are quite demanding opponents, especially in groups. This location also contains a boss, the Boss Scavenger, blocking access to the key (the enemy is in The Hidden Vault, i.e. a micro-location that is part of the Quarry).
