In Tunic, you will find many items, but few of them are fully described in the game. You can guess what the sword and shield are for, but the use of fruit, magic orbs, or gold coins may raise doubts. So let's clear them up - here's a list of usable items and qear:

  1. Sword. The main melee weapon in the game. It is used for attacking.
  2. Stick. The first melee weapon available in the game. Used for attacking but deals little damage.
  3. Shield. It is used for blocking and pairing. It has its own stamina bar.
  4. Wand. The main magic weapon in the game. It is used for a ranged attack. Uses Magic Points.
  5. Magic Dagger. An alternative magic weapon in the game. Freezes nearby enemies and deals damage to them. Uses Magic Points.
  6. Magic Orb. An item that allows you to pull the elements of the environment to yourself. It also allows you to pull opponents towards you. Uses Magic Points.
  7. Magic Potion. A potion that allows you to replenish Health Points (if you also have Magic Points). Parts of it are scattered on the map and can be found in treasure chests. You can refill the potion at a Shrine (checkpoint)
  8. Fruits. Consumable items that restore small amounts of health or mana.
  9. Gun. A shotgun that fires a spray of bullets. Uses Magic Points.
  10. Bomb. A type of consumable weapon you can throw. There are three types of it: Ice Bomb, Fire Bomb, and Firecracker. The first froze the opponent, the second deals damage over time, and the latter has the highest firepower.
  11. Keys. Items that open locked doors to certain rooms and locations.
  12. Hot Pepper/Ivy. An item that temporarily increases the stats of the fox.
  13. Effigy. An item that will give you a random gift or a handful of crystals that are the in-game currency.
  14. Lure. An item shaped like a fox that distracts enemies and attracts their attacks.
  15. Golden Coin. An item that allows you one of the hidden interactions. You can read about this on the page: Hidden interactions and mechanics.

Cards

The most enigmatic type of items available in Tunic is undoubtedly the cards hidden in many corners of the location and in wells - Tunic: Items - list of all - Basics - Tunic Guide

The most enigmatic type of items available in Tunic is undoubtedly the cards hidden in many corners of the location and in wells. After equipping one of them, it gives the character a passive bonus - you have to guess its effect yourself as it's not explained anywhere. However, if you want to learn more about the use of these items, see the list below:

  1. Scavenger's Mask. Provides immunity to glowing purple and pink crystals that drain health.
  2. Tincture. Increases attack, decreases defense.
  3. Orange Peril Ring . Increases attack when your health is low.
  4. Cyan Peril Ring. Increases defence when your health is low.
  5. Bracer. Reduces the stamina cost while blocking attacks.
  6. Dagger Strap. Reduces the casting time of Magic Dagger.
  7. Magic Echo. Interacting with the Echo of Soul at the place of death restores some Magic Points.

  9. Aura's Gem. Makes it easier to parry by increasing parry timing window.
  10. Perfume. Makes stamina recover faster.
  11. Louder Echo. Interacting with the Echo of Soul at the place of death makes you deal more damage and stun enemies for longer.
  12. Inverted Ash. Makes Magic Potions restore Magic Points instead of Health Points.
  13. Lucky Cup. Gives a 15% chance for killed enemies to drop hearts that restore Health Points.
  14. Muffling Bell. Decreases the chance of being detected by nearby enemies.
