Mission 02 - The Last Bunker | They Are Billions campaign walkthrough They Are Billions guide, walkthrough
Last update: 25 June 2019
The Last Bunker - this is one of the first missions unlocked in the game. This is also the first Tactical Mission in the game, during which you will control the hero selected at the beginning of the campaign. In this Chapter you will find the walkthrough and tips related to The Last Bunger mission, as well as the location of all hidden objects to find.
The mission
Way to unlock: mission is unlocked after completing The Hidden Valley mission.
Mission objective:
- Get the object of the mission: Mission artifact.
- The hero must get out of the fortress alive.
- (optional) Get valuable items for the Empire (points: 120).
- (optional) Get ancient technology (points: 200).
Once the mission starts, of course, you'll notice a big difference - you don't have access to base expansion, and the entire action has moved to enclosed spaces. You now control the hero you selected at the beginning of the campaign - Calliope or Caelus. Select the hero and head to the right, entering into interaction with automatic doors to open them.
On the other hand, you will also meet a few infected. Knock them out and interact with two document cabinets located right by the entrance - you will get 30 Science Points per each. Now click on the two books lying on the tables - you will get 20 Empire Points for each. Then go to knocked over cabinet in the east corner of the room - you get 20 Sciece Points. Go to the room through the northern doors, kill the enemy there and interact with a backpack in the corner of the room to get 20 Empire Points. Head to the room to the southwest now.
Interact with the Medical kit lying against the wall - you get a Medical Kit. Its activation restores health points of the hero and closest allies to full. When fighting with opponents in this room, use trenches which will slow down their movement. Go to the next room - there, behind the door, you will find another object for interaction, which will reward you with 30 Science Points.
Go deep into the corridor and go to the two Soldiers for them to join you. Their presence will greatly facilitate the remaining part of the mission. Go to the next room, select the attack option (the default key is "Q") and shoot the barrel to eliminate the whole group of undead. Before continuing, interact with the 4 barrels placed against the wall to get a total of 40 Empire Points.
Go to another room and set the unit under the barricade - this will allow them to fire, while holding off the infected. Destroy all enemies and go to the end of the room - in its western edge you will find a chest that will give you 30 Science Points, and on the other side - an object that resembles a large washing machine that will reward you with additional Science Points. Now go through the eastern door.
Kill the enemies and start collecting items. Right next to the entrance, on the table, you will find Golden handcuffs that will give you 30 Science Points. Next to it you will find another medical kit, and next to it, an object resembling a washing machine, for which you will get the next 30 Science Points. These were the last two additional items to collect. At the south end of the room you will find the mission objective - the Mission artifact. Collect it to complete the main task. Now you only need to go back to the starting point and interact with the stairs to complete the stage.
Completing this mission does not unlock new ones. For earned Science Points it is worth to unlock two new technologies - Logistics and Gold Delivery. The former will increase the volume of raw materials reserves by 20, the latter will make each arrival of the train deliver 200 gold.
Additional advice
As this is your first Tactical Mission, you should read the following tips:
- Collecting extra Science Points and Empire Points is crucial - the former will allow you to quickly unlock new improvements, new technologies, units, and buildings, and the latter will facilitate missions based on fighting against undead swarms, which are the hardest stages in the game.
- If you hit a hole in the floor from which the enemies creep, ignore it - the enemies will get out of there without end, regardless of how many you kill, and the character receives no experience points for killing them, only for completing missions.
- After each of this type of missions the hero will be promoted to a higher level and it will be possible to allocate him/her with a new passive skill that will increase the statistics of the unit. It is worth focusing on dealing damage, attack speed, and attack range.
- Search all the rooms within these missions - you often will encounter hidden items, or units that will join you for the duration of the mission.
