Infected Swarm #6 | They Are Billions campaign walkthrough They Are Billions guide, walkthrough
Last update: 08 July 2019
This is the sixth Infected Swarm mission of the main story campaign in They Are Billions, during which you will usually have to defend yourself against thousands of infected enemies. It takes place before The Valley of Death mission. If all the missions described in the previous chapters of this guide have been completed, this stage will be trivially simple. This chapter contains a walkthrough and tips for this rather difficult type of missions.
How to unlock and goals
How to start: unlocked after completing The Lowlands mission
Mission objective:
- Destroy all infected.
- Survive all the hordes.
The mission
- Once you've started the mission, take a look around the map - there are plenty of walls here that are ideal terrain obstacles for your soldiers. They restrain movement of the opponent, but allow to fire.
- A total of 5 pathways may be blocked here. At the "inlet" of each of them there set a row of Wasps followed by two rows of Soldiers.
- Remaining Points of the Empire (200-300) use to set up Stakes Traps. These should be set 2-3 rows on the route of the enemy - remember not to set them too far, so that the enemies do not have time to regenerate their lost health!
- Once the mission has started, it will probably not be necessary to do too much, but it is worthwhile to monitor the situation. If any spot can't handle it, throw a few extra Soldiers over there to relieve the situation on the selected path.
Tips
Below you can find a few tips related to this demanding mode:
- Don't place Stakes Traps too far away from your units - enemy units will begin to recover health 2-3 seconds after they stop taking damage. Place them close to your units so that the infected can get in their range in time.
- Ranger or Snipers aren't worth recruiting here - the first unit is much less effective in combat than a Soldier, while a Sniper works perfectly in fights against more durable targets. Here, this unit's potential will go to waste.
- You can set fewer Soldiers and use the saved points to deploy additional Stakes Traps - they work great here since your army won't face any Chubbies or Harpies.
