Infected Swarm #5 | They Are Billions campaign walkthrough They Are Billions guide, walkthrough
Last update: 02 July 2019
It is time for the fifth Infected Swarm mission in They Are Billions. This one is located between The Land of the Giant and The Frozen Lake missions. If you have completed all of the previous tasks described in this guide, this mission won't be a challenge. This chapter contains a walkthrough and tips for this rather difficult type of missions.
How to unlock and mission objectives
How to start: unlocked after completing The Land of the Giant mission
Mission objective:
- Destroy all infected.
- Survive all the hordes.
The mission
- You can make this mission much easier by unlocking two defensive constructions - Wasp and Trap Stakes. The first is an automatic turret you know from the campaign, the second is a defense mechanism that damages the infected and slows their movement.
- Start by setting up a line of Wasps around the building that you have to protect -place them in a circle. Place Soldiers behind the Wasps - this step depends on how many Empire Points you have.
- Use about 100 Empire Points to place Stakes Traps on the Infected path - enemies will come from the north, south, west, and east, as well as diagonally.
- When you are ready, start the defense. Keep the eye on the battlefield - if the enemies start making breaking through one of the defense lines, send additional Soldiers to help the defenders.
Tips
Below you can find tips for this mission:
- The combination of Wasps, Soldiers, and Stakes Traps works the best here. Another good tactic is to have two rows of Soldiers and place more Stakes Traps.
- Don't place Stakes Traps too far away - enemy units will begin to recover health 2-3 seconds after they stop taking damage. Place them close to your units so that the infected can get in their range in time.
- All enemies encountered here are "runners" - don't spend points on Rangers because they can't deal with this type of enemy. The same goes for Snipers - they can't shoot fast enough.
