Unlock the tower and activate the ice elevator | Walkthrough
The white tower is guarded by a group of animated armors, you need to defeat them. Even if Trico is able to deal with the enemies on his own, support him as well as you can. Use your mirror to immobilize the armors or fire at them using the projectiles shot from Trico's tail.
Look out for an enemy armed with a shield. You need to perform a battering for the enemy to lose his shield, and make him vulnerable for Trico's attacks (the shield can be picked up and carried to a different location so the enemy cannot use it again).
Aside from taking care of the enemies on the field, you need to eliminate four armors located on the upper balconies shown on the screenshot. Aim the mirror at every balcony and wait until it's destroyed. Once you eliminate the enemies on the balconies, climb on Trico, and command him to raise his head so you'll be able to reach the balconies. One of them has a hidden barrel inside.
Once you deal with the first group of enemies, the side doors of the tower will release another enemies. Help Trico in defeating them.
Win all the encounters (and make sure that Trico is alright), and then start checking the outskirts of the large platform encompassing the main tower. It will allow you to locate a barrel (shown on the screenshot) which is in a seemingly unavailable location. Call Trico, catch his tail, and lower it from the edge of the platform. Start descending to the platform with the barrel. Pick it up, throw it to a nearby lower ledge (the one which is accessible and located near the stairs) and call Trico to feed him. Note - Make sure to aim the jump well, as the barrel can easily fall into the abyss!.
You can now approach the pedestal located by the main entrance to the tower. Place the mirror in the slot and continue to the tower's interior.
After a short stroll you should reach a large elevator. Try to turn it on by placing the mirror in the pedestal. You'll learn that the ceiling is locked, and you'll need to find a way to open it if you want to move forward.
Hang onto Trico's tail, and order him to approach one of the small holes in the floor (screenshot 1). Place the tail in the hole, hang onto it, and use it to descend to an icy cave below the elevator (screenshot 2).
The icy cave is shaped like a circle. You begin in its inner part. The outer part is a large curling corridor, where you'll have to solve a simple puzzle. Begin with traversing the whole cave, which should draw first enemies that begin to chase the boy. Return to the inner hall, aim your mirror at the enemies, and wait until Trico's tail shoots a few projectiles that will eliminate your pursuers.
Note - The mirror can be used while traversing the outer part of the cave, but it will only slow down the pursuing enemies.
The cave below contains a few interactive pedestals. Some of them can be activated by placing the mirror in the right location. The remaining ones are located behind the inactive armors. To get access to the pedestals, find helmets and bring them to the armors. Once the armor is activated, kite it to the circular hall, and eliminate it using Trico's help.
Activate all the pedestals found in the lower cave and return to Trico to climb back upstairs. The icy elevator should work fine.
Reaching the new floor means combat - further enemies are coming our way. Avoid getting caught and carried to the blue door. Similarly to the previous encounter, try to assist Trico as best as you can - take care of enemies with shields and use your mirror, especially that there are enemies on the upper level.
Once the battle is won, check if Trico doesn't need your help in removing any spears left over from the encounter. Point the mirror to the ceiling fragment shown on the screenshot. An elevator will appear. Trico is too big to fit in inside, but he'll be able to jump on it, and both heroes can travel to the upper hall.
