Final confrontation with enemy beasts | Walkthrough
After reaching the top of the tower, begin with moving towards a strange element (screenshot) that is located on its outskirts. Once you reach the location with the boy, call Trico and wait until he approaches the strange construction as close as he can. (If it's necessary, press the call button a few times). Only then a cut-scene will begin depicting the appearance of other flying beasts which will attack Trico.
Wait until you regain control over the boy. Trico is busy fighting the opponents, but your help won't do much here. Instead, run for the lost mirror (marked with a red circle). It will reflect the sunlight, so you should notice it from a distance.
The boy will be hit by one of the monsters when attempting to pick up the mirror. The beast will pick you up, and fly away from the tower. You cannot defend yourself in any way during this scene, so wait patiently until the beast returns to the tower. Once you land on the roof, locate the mirror again. This time you'll be able to pick it up.
Watch a new cut-scene, and once you regain control over the boy, follow Trico's severed tail which has fallen into the previously visited central construction. Get inside of the construction (location where you've stopped the moving fan). Approach the tail and start moving it to the ledge. As a result, you and the tail will fall down to the ice room with the sphere (screenshot 2)
Equip the mirror, and aim it at the gleaming sphere (master of the valley). Trico's tail will fire projectiles in the direction of the cage. Hold Circle, and wait until one of the projectiles hits the central flashing point.
The last action happens during one of the ending cutscenes, not long after Trico transports the main hero to the village. Wait until the boy is picked-up by one of the inhabitants. When he is carried away, press the call button, and push the analog stick forward. It will make Trico to fly away from the village. Congratulations! You've finished the game!
Note - Don't exit during the credits. There is an additional cut-scene in the end!
