Starting Tips for Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! Spyro Reignited Trilogy Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 26 November 2018
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! is the second installment in the series on the adventures of a little dragon - Spyro. It features a number of improvements when compared to its predecessor. This chapter focuses on what to pay attention to when starting the adventure with this game.
- Spyro can fly!
- Help the ones oppressed by Ripto
- Gem radar
- Game saves the same but different
- Gems can be spent
Spyro can fly!
This is a huge difference in comparison to the previous installment. Spyro can go through a special gate that grants him the ability to fly. Unfortunately, using it has a time restriction. After activating it, a timer will appear on the right-hand side of the screen showing you how much longer Spyro can fly. Of course, after this time you can return to the gate and activate the ability again.
Help the ones oppressed by Ripto
In the second installment of Spyro, you do not save dragons anymore. Instead, in order to complete a level of 100%, you have to complete particular tasks. You can receive them from Alvar dwellers you find across different levels.
Gem radar
In Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage friendly dragonfly makes its return. This time, apart from indicating Spyro's health condition, it shows the direction towards the nearest Gem. This helps you find all the Gems.
Game saves the same but different
Even though you can save the game at the fairies again, their distribution is not the same as it was in the previous installment. As there no dragons that left a peculiar spot behind, fairies can be found at strategic positions across the map.
Gems can be spent
This time, Gems are not only collectibles. You can use them to purchase different upgrades to help you with completing the task. In order to unlock them, you have to interact with different creatures on the map.
