Icy Peak is a level in Spyro: Year of the Dragon which belongs to the Midday Gardens homeworld. The following chapter is dedicated to the Walkthrough of this level.
How to get 100% completion in this level?
Reaching 100% completion on the Icy Peak level will require you to meet the following conditions:
- Collect 500 gems
- Find 6 Dragon Eggs
Walkthrough
You start the level on a small frozen lake. You will find a bear that is using a cannon right next to the lake. Knock him off with a fire attack. Afterwards, destroy the ice block which covers the passageway and the one located on the platform.
Then, head towards the stairs that you have uncovered. They will lead you to a small room. You will find two Rhynocs there: an armored one and a large one. The armored foe can be defeated with a charge attack while the larger opponent is vulnerable to fire. You will also come across the first TNT boxes here. Their destruction gives additional gems, however, they are exceptionally dangerous on ice. There are rats in them that light the fuse and start sliding towards you. You have to push them back with your fire attack before they can explode.
This road will lead you to the next location. You will have to eliminate the Rhynocs again. You should also watch out for the TNT boxes. After the fight, head towards the cannon and destroy all of the ice blocks. In total, there are four of them. Leave the platform for now, just launch the rocket located in its vicinity.
Afterwards, go to the corridor that you have previously unlocked. By following this path you will reach the next lake. Defeat all of the enemies that are here. Then jump onto the stairs to the right of the pathway that you have entered through. You will stumble upon one of the eggs.
After that, return to the lake and go down the corridor. You will reach the next area where you will find a gate. Leave it for now and head towards the cannon. Destroy the ice block and enter the unlocked corridor. There, you will have to pay Moneybags for unlocking a portal. On its other side, you will find an egg. All you have to do is defend Nancy from the Hockey Rhynocs.
After completing the task, you can go towards the gate. By going through it you will enter a building. There are now three separate paths to follow. By going straight forward [1] you will find a missing bear. He will give you an egg.
When going left [2] you will have to use a cannon to destroy a block of ice which is obstructing the path. This road will take you to the platform you cleared earlier. Thanks to this you will be able to acquire another egg.
If you turn right [3], you will reach a portal that will take you to a race track. There you will have to catch two Egg Thieves. You will have to be careful not to fall off of the track since you will be constantly using charging-ramps.
