The idea of playing Songs of Conquest in portable mode may involve a desire to spend some quality time on the way to work or school with this Heroes of Might & Magic-inspired series. In the guide, we answer the question of whether Songs of Conquest is verified on Valve's Steam Deck.
Songs of Conquest on Steam Deck
- The PC version of Songs of Conquest is Verified to work with any revision of Steam Deck (older LED models and newer OLED models). This applies to both major versions of the game - the one available in early access and the final 1.0, set for release in May 2024.
- Full compatibility with Steam Deck means, among other things, that you shouldn't experience any problems with the game's performance, issuing commands in the game and using the handheld's unique features. In addition, Steam Deck's button icons may appear on the screen instead of the default keyboard and mouse icons.
- You may have some concerns about the game's elaborate interface and the large amount of text written in small font. The game offers an enlarged HUD and larger font size, and this should provide sufficient readability even on a 7-inch Steam Deck screen. This convenience also applies to the version that runs on other hardware, such as a traditional desktop or laptop. We described this topic in more detail on the page titled How to enlarge the HUD and font?
- Songs of Conquest does not require Steam Deck to be permanently connected to the Internet. The game features multiplayer modes, although you can also have fun solo by playing skirmishes against AI or playing through the story campaign.
