Moraekah the Shaman is one of the most important NPCs of the Shadow of the Tomb Raider. She is a merchant, who can trade two of the most important items in the game - the ascender and the lockpick. ). Ascender is necessary if you want to reach new locations (this piece of equipment can, i.e. destroy a certain type of barricades). You need Lockpicks to open Conquistador Treasure Chests (one of the secrets). This section of the guide contains instructions for finding her after she vanishes.

An important note - in the release version of the game, Moraekah isn't marked with the merchant icon on the map. You can have problems with finding her, especially because the woman can be found in a few different places. Moraekah doesn't stay in the same place throughout the entire game. Check the locations listed below.. If you want to avoid unnecessary troubles, just buy the two gadgets during your first meeting. If you don't have the gold, try selling some of the spare crafting materials.

Possible places where you can find Moraekah - Paititi, the Hidden City

Moraekah by default lives in the Hidden City Paititi - the biggest location in the Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which you will reach by progressing in the main storyline.

The easiest way to meet Moraekah is by taking the side quest called Dice with the Dead, in the Hidden City. The walkthrough of that quest can be found elsewhere in this guide. For the sake of a reminder: the quest is given by a boy named Takiy in the northern part of the village. You have to meet Pisco the Dead, who will give you the quest of finding other exiles. One of the people to ask about that is Moraekah, whose location is shown on the screens above. Apart from progressing with the quest, you will also be able to trade with Moraekah.

Moraekah can also appear in a different part of Paititi, the Hidden City. This can happen after, i.e. you visit Eye of the Serpent during one of the main missions.. Her other spots are the northern part of the Hidden City, near the northern monolith and the farming fields. Moraekah will be outside her hut - the location is shown above.

After you progress further in the main story, Moraekah might appear in the upper Paititi. For reminders' sake, you only visit this part of the city after coming back from Cenotes and obtaining the cultist's disguise, which will allow you to bypass the guards at the entrance to the upper part of the Hidden City.

Possible places where you can find Moraekah - Kuwak Yaku

Kuwak Yaku village is another possible place where you can find Moraekah. She won't be there during your visit in that village. Moraekah can start appearing there once you visit Paititi.

The woman can be found in the place presented in the picture above. This area is located east from the village, near Hunting Grounds campsite.

Mission of San Juan is yet another place where you can find Moraekah. The merchant can appear in the place presented in the picture above. This area is in the south part of the map, near the entrance to the Tree of Life tomb.
