Relics in The Hidden City | Secrets in Shadow of the Tomb Raider Shadow of the Tomb Raider Guide and Walkthrough

There are 28 relics hidden in Paititi which is one of the locations in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. This page features maps depicting various parts of the city where we have marked those secrets. Also, we have added at least one picture and a detailed description for all of the relics.

North-west part of the map

1. Golden Effigy

2. Lord and Lady of the Dead

Golden Effigy

Relic (1) is in the cave that you have to explore during "Retrieve the Savior's Amulet" side quest. Use Lara's axe to break parts of a wall and then avoid a few traps to finally reach the secret.

Lord and Lady of the Dead

Relic (2) is in the crypt that you visit after hanging a rope over the water. Reach the bottom of the crypt and then dive. Squeeze through a few rocks. The secret can be found in the picture presented above.

South-west part of the map

Beast Effigy

Relic (1) is inside the small chest that lies near rocks, bushes and a wooden construction.

Macuahuitl

Relic (2) can be found shortly after entering the temple located inside the mountain. This happens during your journey to the Belly of the Serpent. The chest with the secret is inside the bigger room (see the picture above).

Arrow

Relic (3) can be found when you explore one of the crypts (the entrance is located east from the secret). The arrow is in the dark corridor - avoid a trap to reach the secret.

Urpu

Relic (1) is in the chest located near the monolith and the passage to the temple in the mountains.

Plastic Penguin

Relic (2) is in the chest located near one of the buildings.

Metatl

Relic (3) is inside a small chest near the wall and the wooden stall.

Chaki Taklla

Relic (4) is inside the large chest located near one of the paths.

Copper Mace

Relic (5) is in the rebels hideout in Skull Cave. You can get this secret after starting "Rebellion Lives" main mission. The chest is hidden behind one of the walls.

Ch'arki and Chunos

Relic (6) is inside a barricaded cabin. You can remove the obstacle by using the Reinforced Knife.

Southern part of the city

Ceremonial Pipe

Relic (1) is inside one of the cabins. Look for the hole in the wall (see the picture above). Go through it to enter the building with the secret.

Whistle

Relic (2) is in the large chest right next to the temple's entrance which is guarded by one of the cultists. You don't have to enter inside the temple. This secret can be found during your first visit in Paititi.

Dismantled Radio

Relic (3) is inside the chest located in one of the buildings. Lara must break the barricade with the Reinforced Knife.

Patolli Mat

Relic (4) is inside the chest located in one of the buildings. One of the conquistador chests is also here.

Mask of the Fire God

Relic (5) is inside the small caves near the main part of Paititi. You can come across this secret when you are walking down the main corridor. Besides the relic, you can also find, i.e. a mural and a document.

Chuspas

Relic (6) is in the chest near stairs inside one of the buildings.

Ceremonial Torch

Relic (7) is on a platform located high up in the city. You can get there by climbing a few walls. Besides the relic, you can also find a path that leads to the Temple of the Sun challenge tomb.

Burial Mask

Relic (8) is inside a basement beneath one of the buildings. Lara won't be able to get there right away. Explore the area located north-east from the secret. Look for the place presented in the picture 1 where you can jump into a partially submerged building. Dive and swim to the location with the secret (see the picture 2). Shoot an arrow with a rope at the upper doors to leave the basement faster.

Incense Burner

Relic (9) is on a platform located high up in the city. Find a climbable wall located south from the secret. Reach the top and open the chest.

Year Bundle

Relic (1) is in a side room - you can get there right after you reach the upper city. Find the barricade presented in the picture and destroy it with the Reinforced Knife.

Tlaloc Vase

Relic (2) is inside the chest located on top of the altar in the upper city.

Wooden Rifle

Relic (3) is inside one of the half-open buildings in the upper city. You can find this building right before you enter Kukulkan temple.

Mask of Tezcatlipoca

Relic (4) is in the chest located in the southern part of the temple.

Mama Quilla Mask

Relic (5) is in the chest located in the north-east part of the temple. Jump down into a dimly lit and narrow room.

Bloodletter

Relic (6) is in the chest located in the central part of the temple.

Map of Search Areas

Relic (7) is in the room that can be accessed by crossing the drawbridge. The earliest you can there is after you rescue Unuratu from the cell (you will also have to defeat a few cultists).

Primitive Doll

Relic (8) can be found once you start exploring Ancient Aqueduct tomb. The doll is inside the chest that can be found when you get out of the water.
