How to solve the White Queen riddle in the Croft's mansion? Shadow of the Tomb Raider Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 24 September 2018
The White Queen riddle takes place during the chapter, when you play as the young Lara Croft, exploring the Croft's mansion. This is one of the most complicated riddles in the Shadow of the Tomb Raider, but with our guide, you should get it done in no time.
In order to solve this riddle, you have to reach the big room in the mansion (see above). The coordinates on Lara's drawing will help you solve this.
First, take a look at the globe from picture 1. It has two interactive dials. Manipulate them in any order. What you need to do, is input the following coordinates: 30N and 90E. An example of the correct latitude (90E) is shown in picture 2.
After correctly entering the coordinates, light rays will start reflecting off the globe, onto a shield. Reach the ladder directly underneath it and climb onto the balconies.
Reach the other end of the balconies, location the new mechanism. Interact with the dial to unfold the wings of the great bat and light the two fields in the lower section of the room up with red light.
Go back down. The next part of the riddle requires you to move the two figures with shields onto the red fields on the floor. The remaining figures have to be taken out of the way. The solution is shown below - the shields of the two knights will reflect the red light.
The White Queen will appear behind the ladder, between the two red spots (picture 1), but you cannot reach her right away. Solving this is, fortunately, simple - go back to the globe and change the coordinates no anything else so as to lift the ladder (picture 2).
Reach the White Queen and start pulling her towards the knights. If other figures are blocking the way, just pull them away. The White Queen figure has to stand in the middle of the two mirrors - as shown above.
Now you can use the passage, which was unlocked behind the spot, where the White Queen first appeared. A cut-scene will commence, and the riddle will be solved.
