There are 42 documents hidden in Paititi which is one of the locations in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. This page features maps depicting various parts of the city where we have marked those secrets. Also, we have added at least one picture and a detailed description for all of the documents.

Fawcett's Legacy

Document (1) lies near the leather.

Lopez's Arrival

Document (2) is inside a secret room that can only be accessed with the ascender. Use this item in the place presented in the picture.

Covering the Tracks

Document (3) is in a hut that can't be accessed right away. Use the ascender on the barricade presented in the picture above.

The Cult's Control

Document (4) is in the cave explored during "Retrieve the Savior's Amulet" side mission. You can find this document after you avoid traps.

Protection

Note (5) is in the cave explored during "Retrieve the Savior's Amulet" side mission. Proceed further into the location and avoid more traps.

Expedition Report

Report (6) is inside of a hut located high up in the air. Reach the adjacent hut in the south. Stand in the place presented in the picture and shoot at the ropes. After that you will be able to reach the secret.

Troubled Lands

Document (1) can be found right after you enter the temple located inside the mountain. You have to do that during "Belly of the Serpent" mission (after Lara's meeting with Etzli).

Trinity Arrives

Document (2) can be found near the Belly of the Serpent campsite, near the path that leads to the Belly of the Serpent location.

Warning

Document (3) can is behind a waterfall - you can access it from the water body in the jungle, the same place where you can find Path of Battle challenge tomb. Start climbing near the water (north-west from the secret) - climb the tree and then jump from one ledge to another. Lara will reach a small cave behind the waterfall.

More Questions

Document (4) can be found during your exploration of the crypt - the entrance can be found north from the secret. Squeeze through rocks and you will reach the location presented in the picture.

Merchant Sacrifice

Document (5) can be found during your exploration of the crypt - the entrance can be found north-east from the secret. Reach the large oval room near the room with a sarcophagus. The secret is on one of the stone ledges presented in the picture. You can reach it easily by moving up from the lowest part of the room.

Warriors of Kukulkan

Document (6) can be found near the starting point in Path of Battle challenge tomb. Reach the place presented in the picture 1 and look for an interactive mechanism. Before you use it, stand near the edge and look down. You will find a stone ledge with the secret below you. Jump down.

Journal of T. Serrano 3

Document (1) is inside Unuratu's house. You can find it near Unuratu's Home campsite.

Famine

Document (2) is on one of the wooden stalls, near the stairs.

El Dorado

Document (3) lies on the ground - you won't have problems with spotting it.

The First Emperor

Document (4) is on a ledge that is located high up in the city. Lara has to climb by jumping from one platform to another. Then, she must get hold of the protruding branch and then she has to climb up the cliff's vertical wall.

Resist!

Manifesto (5) is in the rebels hideout in Skull Cave. You can get it once you start "Rebellion Lives" main mission.

Amaru's Grip

Document (1) is in a dimly lit place located west from Paititi Market.

Epidemic

Document (2) is on top of the wooden construction near the water.

Rebirth and Resettlement

Document (3) is inside of small caves adjacent to the main part of Paititi. You can come across this secret when you are walking down the main corridor. Besides the document, you can also find, i.e. a mural.

Unuratu's Coronation

Document (4) is in the southern caves near Village Caves campsite. The document is in the dimly lit place.

Devils in the Dark

Report (5) is inside the cabin located in the southern part of the city, near Village Caves.

Journal of T. Serrano 4

Journal (6) is on a small beach near a waterfall. You can get there from the main water reservoir.

Contract

Contract (7) can be found right next to Temple Path campsite. This place is near the entrance to Temple of the Sun challenge tomb.

Two Peoples As One

Document (8) is inside one of the cabins in the southern part of Paititi.

Disease and Death

Document (9) is near the entrance to Temple of the Sun challenge tomb.

Journal of T. Serrano

Document (10) is near the entrance to Temple of the Sun challenge tomb. A platform where you can perform a Swan Dive is nearby.

The Monkey Twins

Document (11) can be found shortly after entering Temple of the Sun challenge tomb - after climbing a few walls and entering the main tomb. The secret is in the corridor that leads to the damaged ladder.

The Paddler Gods

Document (12) is inside Temple of the Sun challenge tomb. The secret is in the corridor adjacent to the room with large mirrors. You can reach that place when you are moving between mirrors 3 and 4 or when you are heading back towards the exit from the tomb.

Trinity Rescues Amaru

Document (6) is in the southern part of the temple's main room.

Report (7) is in the cell where Unuratu was kept.

The Cult's Promise

Document (8) is in the room that can be accessed by crossing the drawbridge. The earliest you can there is after you rescue Unuratu from the cell (you will also have to defeat a few cultists).

Cult of Kukulkan

Journal (9) is in the room that can be accessed by crossing the drawbridge. The earliest you can there is after you rescue Unuratu from the cell (you will also have to defeat a few cultists).

Yaaxil; The Prophecy

Document (10) is inside one of the buildings in the upper part of the city. Go through the hole presented in the picture.

Document (11) is in the same room.

Reconnaissance

Document (12) is inside the crypt in Kukulkan temple. You can find this secret shortly after you enter inside through the hole in the wall.

Crime and Punishment

Document (13) is inside the crypt in Kukulkan temple. The secret is in the lower part of that location - you can find it after Lara examines contents of the sarcophagus. The path to the secret is guarded by two traps (their ropes are right above the ground).
