Going Overboard is a mission from stealing the Codex in Saints Row. The walkthrough from our guide describes where to find the Codex on the yacht and how to steal it, how to defeat 2 members of the Collective, and how to successfully escape with the Codex.

You had to protect the Hummingbird Codex during The Peter Principle main mission - you've failed back then. The Going Overboard mission tasks you with retrieving it. Our walkthrough explains how to examine the boathouse, get aboard the yacht, steal the Codex and defuse the bombs, defeat two Collective Members as well as escape the yacht and return to shore.

Rewards for completing the mission

1. XP and cash;
2. new vehicle: Idols Barbados;
3. Collectible: Hummingbird Codex - you can place it in the Saints HQ as a decoration.

Go to the boathouse

Meet up with the Saints at the church to discuss the plan. The building you need to search isn't too far away, but you can use a car if you want to.

Dispatch the guards in front of the building and go inside.

Fight your way to the vault

Once inside, follow the established route and deal with the Idols along the way. Remember to use your AoE skills to weaken or eliminate larger groups. You can also use quick shots to fire at explosive objects.

Your destination is the passage underground.

Get the Codex

Approach the Codex display case. When you try to take it, you'll realize you've been deceived and lured into a trap.

You must defuse the bomb before it explodes - just approach the empty case and interact with it.

Break out of the vault

Numerous Idol groups will attack you on your way out. Once again, AoE abilities are very useful here. A scoped gun will also come in handy when fighting your way through a long corridor.

Grab a jetski

Leave the building and head towards the water. Grab one of the jet skis found there. Head towards the huge yacht you must search to retrieve the Codex.

Take the jump

You can reach the yacht thanks to the ramp pictured above. Approach it in a straight line at high speed to land on the yacht.

Get the Codex

Once you're on the yacht, you must keep reaching the markers the game places for you while killing the enemies along the way. Just like before, use your skills, quickshots and takedowns.

Reach the Codex display case - once again, you must defuse a bomb by interacting with it.

Plant the bomb

Take the disarmed bomb to the yacht's bridge. Interact with the central console to place the bomb on it, then start running.

Kill both Collective members

Head towards the yacht's helipad. The aircraft will end up getting destroyed, initiating a mini-boss battle against two Collective members. They're marked with skull icons, like all bosses.

We recommend focusing on one of them at a time, as they're both very durable and have yellow armor bars. Use Takedowns on regular enemies to heal up when needed. Equip your best weapon, aim for the heads and dodge often.

Escape the yacht

This is a pretty confusing objective. Don't immediately jump into the water. You must run through a long corridor in the burning yacht instead. If you end up getting set on fire, dodge roll to put out the flames. You don't need to eliminate every encountered enemy, focus on reaching your destination instead.

You'll eventually reach a small boat you can use to escape.

Escape to shore

This mission ends with a long chase scene. Fire at the jet skis and boats pursuing you. You can keep firing for as long as you wish, as your ammo is unlimited.

Reach the shore to complete the chase and the mission.
