Depending on the selected difficulty level, the ribbons are a commonly available good or you can get them rather rarely. In general, you must assume that you won't be able to save the game frequently. You should decide to do it before each larger battle with a group of monsters or a boss. In our walkthrough for the game you will find information about the location of every typing machines and suggested moments when you should save the game.
Important - remember that ink ribbon can be exchanged between the characters and given to character which, for example, will be able to reach a typing machine faster.
Important - The game allows you to use twenty different save slots and it is a good idea to use them all. It is especially important on higher difficulty settings as when you use too much ammunition or are left at the brink of dead with no healing items you can move back in the game and repeat all the wrong steps you made.
