During the game, you can find interactive files. Each time you collect one, you can read it. You should not ignore doing this, because files often give you information on how to solve puzzles and whereabouts of important rooms. Collecting all of the files in the game is rewarded with an achievement/trophy Fileophile. Below, you can view a list of the files.

Important - Since the beginning of the game you have Player's Manual and Court Order for Transportation files. You aren't required to open and read them (but of course you can do it if you feel like it).

Important - In order to obtain the Fileophile achievement you don't need to find maps that can be found in the game. Due to that, they aren't included in below list. Information about location of the maps can be found in the walkthrough.

Files - Ecliptic Express

Passenger's Diary - the file is in room 202 in the train

Investigation Orders - the file is in room 201 of the train (the one with the typewriter)

Notice to Supervisors - the file is on the table by the stairs, in the restaurant car

Player's Manual 2 - you will receive this file automatically after defeating Leech Zombie and when you gain control of both characters

Note from Conductor - the file is lying on the ground in conductor's room

Hookshot Operator's Manual - you will receive the file automatically after collecting the Hookshot

Brake Operation Manual - you will receive the file automatically after reaching engineer's cabin

Files - Umbrella Training Facility

Notice to All Staff - the file is in the room at level 2F where you also find the crank handle and the characters are attacked by ravens.

Regulations for Trainees - the file is in the conference room at level 2F

Assistant Director's Diary - the file is in the room at level 2F, where you move the table and find the Iron Needle

A Verse of Poetry - the file is in the room at level 2F, where there is microfilm B

Microfilm Image - you will receive the image automatically after putting microfilm A and B into the projector

First Investigation Unit Notes - the document is lying on the bed in the nursing area on floor 2F. You can visit it after solving the riddle in the conference room (unlocking the door with the armors on sides)

Marcus' Diary 1 - you will receive the document automatically after solving the chess riddle on floor 2F and then taking the Book of Evil from the desk

Files - Training facility basement

Correctional Institute Inmates List - this file is in the room with the typewriter at level B1 f the basement.

About the Power Regulator - the file is on the ground in the room where you solve the puzzle with setting the right voltage.

Management Traineer's Diary - the file is in the room at level B2 that you unlock after you solve the puzzle with animal statues.

Files - Laboratory

Marcus' Diary 2 - the file is located in the library on level B2 - the one in which you can find a typewriter.

Laboratory Manager's Diary - the file is located on level B1, in the room where you defeat the leech zombie and obtain Leech Capsule.

Leech Growth Records - The file is located in a room on level B1, the one where the red tank is.

Old Photograph - you will receive the photo automatically after collecting the Input Reg. Coil from the room on floor B2

Investigator's Report - This file can be found in a room on level B1, the one in which you can find the green tank.

B.O.W. Report - the file is lying on the ground in the room on floor B1 - the one where you defeat the hunters and find Dial

Files -Treatment Plant

Investigator's Report 2 - the document is located on the balconies on floor B5 of the treatment plant. You visit this location after using the handle for opening the door (the tank with red chemicals is located there as well)

About Battery Fluid - the document is in the room with beds and typing machine (floor B6) visited after walking through the corridor with the hunters

Treatment Plant Manager's Diary - the document is in the same room in which there is a computer that requires putting motherboard in and the elevator that allows you to reach the place where you fight Proto Tyrant.

Gate Operation Manual - you will obtain the file automatically after reaching the second phase of the battle with Queen Leech
