Fame in Northgard Northgard Guide & Walkthrough
Last update: 14 March 2018
Fame is an important aspect of the gameplay - you can win by amassing enough fame to be proclaimed a King of Northgard. You can ascend to new levels of fame by amassing fame points. You'll also be rewarded with additional resources. The fame points are rewarded for completing various actions in game. You can check your current tally by placing the cursor at the crown icon in the upper left corner of the screen. You can find information on various sources of fame below:
Each colonized zone gives you 20 points of fame. Taking over zones that contain an enemy structure such as a wolves' den is rewarded with additional fame points. You can view the amount of rewarded points by clicking on the chosen zone. This method of amassing fame is very convenient, as colonizing new zones is a basic mechanic of the game.
Aside from raising happiness, each skald generates fame. This means that every action that increases the happiness levels also increase the amount of fame.
Fame can also be increased by sending ships. If you've built a Longship dock and a lighthouse, send a ship to generate additional points of fame. If you want to achieve victory by amassing fame, invest in ships as quickly as you can, otherwise you'll quickly fall behind in the Fame department.
Lore also affects the amount of gathered points of fame. Every new bonus that is chosen gives additional fame. Similarly to conquering zones, lore is a way of amassing fame that is often done unconsciously by the player.
Finally, you can organize feasts. Spend a certain amount of food to organize a great feast that gives 20 points of fame and increases the villagers' happiness and productivity. Be sure to organize a feast from time to time, as the option can be used more than once.
