KAL Zones - red and yellow Homefront: The Revolution Guide
Last update: 14 June 2016
KAL Zones are divided into two groups. The former is a red zone, access to which you will be granted right after the tutorial. What matters here is the power of your guns and being able to hide from the enemies. It is the easiest zone for the sabotage actions as there are no Koreans controlling this sector. Enemy patrols are very small and they do not alarm the whole zone during the attack. It is very important to capture the strategic points, described in the chapter devoted to the red zones. Through these points you will later be able to control the whole sector, gain the funds for the new equipment and upgrading the resistance camps. Watch out for the armed vehicles and the snipers. Capture at least couple of the strategic points before going into a mission as through that you will get a help from the other members of the resistance. KAL soldiers shoot on sight in the red zones which is the reason for this area being deserted.
The second sector is yellow. It connects both influences of the sectors and it works as an area between the total KAL control and the resistance. The rules here are stricter, thus making it harder to maneuver during the special tasks. Here you will find much more KAL soldiers, equipped in the advanced arms and heavily armed vehicles. One alarm will lure them to the area. Instead of fighting you will more often be running away and hide until the situation calms down a bit. Look for the blue skips and portable toilets in which you will be able to hide. During the chase you won't be able to enter the safe resistance zones so it is vital to plan your way out earlier on. When entering the yellow zones, be sure to have maximum number of hacking devices as only through them you will be able to capture strategic areas. Remember that you cannot carry a gun in this sector (until capturing all of the points) or the soldiers will attack you on sight.
