Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide Gran Turismo 7 guide, tips

This page contains the trophy guide for Gran Turismo 7. You will find a description of all trophies, and information about obtaining the Platinum trophy in GT7.

Last update: 07 April 2022

This page contains a trophy guide to Gran Turismo 7. It describes all available trophies in detail - you'll learn about their requirements and how to meet them. We've also included information on how difficult obtaining GT7's platinum trophy is.

General trophy information

  1. Gran Turismo 7 features 54 trophies - 1 platinum, 2 gold, 4 silver and 47 bronze.
  2. Most trophies can be earned in single-player. There are two trophies requiring you to play in Sport mode, although fortunately they're not difficult. You should know, however, that multiplayer could make unlocking other trophies easier.
  3. Trophies can only be obtained when you're online, that is, logged into the game servers. They're unobtainable when playing offline.
  4. The Hard Work Pays Off trophy requires the most skill of them all. Obtaining gold in some of the license challenges requires multiple tries and perfecting your driving technique.
  5. The Three Legendary Cars trophy is the most problematic, as it requires you to purchase extremely rare and expensive vehicles. The game doesn't make earning credits or finding these cars easy.
  6. There aren't any trophies tied to Missions, so you don't need to do them if you care only about getting the platinum trophy. The same applies to Circuit Experience - you don't need to complete all tracks or earn gold cups in any of them.
  7. Obtaining the platinum trophy in GT7 might take a long time, mostly due to the aforementioned Three Legendary Cars trophy and the need to collect millions of credits. You can still obtain the platinum trophy without making use of microtransactions, but the grind to get there will be very long.

Gran Turismo Platinum Trophy

How to unlock: Acquired all Gran Turismo 7 trophies!

Trophy type: platinum

Comment: The game features separate platinum trophies for the PS4 and PS5 versions.

Living Your Car Life

How to unlock: Started the first menu.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is a very simple trophy tied to the career mode, during which you must complete subsequent menus (chapters). After completing the prologue and entering the map screen visit the cafe to start Menu 1.

Student of Motoring History

How to unlock: Completed the first car collecting menu - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Completed the first car collecting menu.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is the continuation of the aforementioned trophy. You must obtain all three vehicles from Menu 1. You get them by finishing races tied to them in at least 3rd place - the difficulty level or whether driving assist is enabled or not doesn't matter.

Moving on Up

How to unlock: Moved up five or more positions in a single lap.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You should get this trophy in one of the first races of the game. You'll most likely obtain it when racing on a long track, as you'd have more time to complete the lap and overtake your opponents.

Clean Racer

How to unlock: Completed a race without leaving the track or any collisions - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Completed a race without leaving the track or any collisions.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: After finishing the race you may sometimes obtain the Clean Racer bonus. This happens only if you haven't collided with any other vehicles and haven't driven off the track during the race. Try to bypass your opponents wherever it's safe (for example, on straight sections of the track) and hit the brakes when turning in order to not leave the road for even a moment. Obtaining the bonus is easier on oval tracks, as hitting the outer barrier there shouldn't invalidate it.

By a Whisker

How to unlock: Won a race with a lead of 0.5 seconds or less.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You'll probably get this trophy randomly by simply playing the game. If you've finished the career mode and still don't have it, you can try short single races and slowing down on purpose right before crossing the finish line.

By a Country Mile

How to unlock: Won with a lead of 10 seconds or more, in a race of at least two laps - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Won with a lead of 10 seconds or more, in a race of at least two laps.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is the opposite of the previous trophy - you must win a race with at least a 10-second lead. You can see the current state of the race in the upper left corner of the screen. The game always shows you the time loss of the driver behind you (example pictured above).

It's likely you'll get this trophy without actively trying to do so. Lowering the difficulty level and racing on longer tracks will make getting it easier.

No Assistance Required

How to unlock: Completed a race without any assist settings - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Completed a race without any assist settings.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This trophy is a bit confusing, as it doesn't require you to play on the highest difficulty. Elements such as automatic transmission don't count as assist. The trophy only applies to driving assist settings, particularly auto-drive.

You can choose the assist settings when starting the game for the first time. The simplest way to get this trophy is to select the Expert preset, which disables them all. If necessary you can also enter the options menu, then the assist menu to make changes (such as enabling or disabling all assist settings).

New Treads

How to unlock: Took a pitstop during a race and changed your tires - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Took a pitstop during a race and changed your tires.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: To get this trophy choose any race which lets you take a pitstop. Do so and change the tires (even the same tires you're currently using will do). You'll get the trophy after leaving the pitstop.

The First Step to Mastery

How to unlock: Completed a track (all sectors) in Circuit Experience - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Completed a track (all sectors) in Circuit Experience.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: Try and get this trophy after unlocking Menu 24 in the career mode, as that's the point the game will introduce you to Circuit Experience. If you decided to get this trophy on the Dragon Trail track from the aforementioned menu, you'll need at least bronze in all four sectors and the challenge requiring you to complete an entire lap under a time limit.

Circuit Apprentice

How to unlock: Completed five tracks (all sectors) in Circuit Experience - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Completed five tracks (all sectors) in Circuit Experience.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is the continuation of the aforementioned trophy. You must obtain cups on five different tracks. Some tracks appear in different configurations (the Dragon Trail configurations pictured above are an example) and are considered separate tracks. The five tracks don't have to be entirely different locations.

Circuit Master

How to unlock: Completed 15 tracks (all sectors) in Circuit Experience.

Trophy type: silver

Comment: This is the most difficult trophy dedicated to Circuit Experience. Once again, obtaining bronze is enough - you don't necessarily have to get gold.

Done in 60 Seconds

How to unlock: Drove a lap of the Tsukuba Circuit in under one minute - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Drove a lap of the Tsukuba Circuit in under one minute.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This trophy is made much easier thanks to the freedom you have when trying to get it - when trying to complete a lap you can use any car and any game mode (the easiest way is to try a time trial without any AI opponents).

Wait until you unlock some very fast cars but also choose one with high maneuverability, as the Tsukuba track consists of three slow turns.

Formula First Timer

How to unlock: Drove a Formula car - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Drove a Formula car.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You don't need to buy or win any cars to get this trophy. Wait until you have access to the Super license. The S-7 challenge is the one you're interested in - it tasks you with driving a SF19 Super Formula / Honda '19 on Laguna Seca. Complete the challenge and you'll get the trophy regardless of your score.

Podium Fixture

How to unlock: Finished on the podium ten times.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You can't miss this trophy while playing through the career mode, as you're forced to finish in the top three anyway to progress.

Rain Royalty

How to unlock: Acquired your rain license.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This trophy tasks you with achieving at least bronze in three license challenges taken during rainfall. These challenges are:

  1. A-5
  2. IB-6
  3. IA-7

Fully Licensed

How to unlock: Earned all licenses.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: There are 5 licenses to obtain in the game, but you only need the B and A licenses to complete the career mode. This trophy requires you to obtain the IB, IA, and Super licenses as well.

Each license is earned by completing nine challenges and then the final, tenth one. You have to complete 50 challenges in total to get this trophy, earning bronze in each one is enough.

Hard Work Pays Off

How to unlock: Earned Gold in all licenses - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Earned Gold in all licenses.

Trophy type: gold

Comment: This is the most skill-based trophy in the entire game. Some of the license challenges are very difficult and put you behind the wheel of hard-to-drive cars. The demonstrations available during the challenges can show you how to beat them. You can also use the ghost to gain better results. The most difficult challenges are:

  1. A-9 - disable driving assist to avoid losing speed when turning
  2. IA-5 - you must make very precise turns and maintain high speed at all costs
  3. S-7 - disabling driving assist here can also help you, you also have to get used to hitting the brakes late and maintaining grip when turning
  4. S-10 - you must stay on the road to succeed as you'll end up skidding otherwise

All-Rounder

How to unlock: Won races on 10 different tracks.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You should get this trophy automatically when playing through the career mode, unlocking new tracks one by one.

Digging the Dirt

How to unlock: Won 10 races on dirt tracks.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: Dirt tracks are unlocked a bit later on during the career and you won't get to race on them ten times before the credits roll. You can choose or create your own races on your favourite track and set any length you'd like (even a single lap will do).

Fill Her Up

How to unlock: Took a pitstop during a race which featured fuel consumption, and filled your tank.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You can get this trophy along the New Treads one described above by choosing a race during which both your tires get worn down and your fuel runs out. After entering the pitstop don't press anything, let your tires be replaced and your car refueled.

Running on Empty

How to unlock: Ran out of fuel in a race which featured fuel consumption - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Ran out of fuel in a race which featured fuel consumption.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You can easily get this trophy by playing through the Eco Challenge in the Beyond the Horizon mission menu. It's the first race featuring fuel consumption. Don't change anything about the engine, let your fuel run out right before you reach the finish line.

You can also choose any race featuring fuel consumption and ignore the pitstop.

Looking Good!

How to unlock: Bought and equipped aerodynamic parts - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

Comment: You can first unlock this trophy after completing Menu 7 and unlocking GT Auto. Enter the tab featuring body parts, then buy and install any aerodynamic part, such as the front aero pictured above.

Toughening Up

How to unlock: Increased a car's body rigidity 10 times - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Increased a car's body rigidity 10 times.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: Rigidity can be increased in the tuning shop, its third tab specifically (pictured above).

You must know that the price depends on how big the car is. Increasing it for smaller cars (such as the Toyota Yaris pictured above) can cost you several thousand, but the bigger the car, the more it will cost. To get this trophy you should increase the rigidity of your smallest cars, in order to spend as little as possible.

Squeaky Clean

How to unlock: Washed a car 10 times - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Washed a car 10 times.

How to unlock: Fit a wide body - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Fit a wide body.

A Bit of Boost

How to unlock: Purchased a turbo or supercharger 10 times - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Purchased a turbo or supercharger 10 times.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: Turbochargers and Superchargers appear in the third tab of the tuning shop in different variations. Not every vehicle is compatible with them. Look for opportunities to buy them when upgrading cars - you must do so ten times in total.

Sport Mode Debut

How to unlock: Finished a race in Sport mode.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: Sport mode is one of the game's multiplayer modes unlocked after completing Menu 9 in the career mode.

In-Depth Mastery

How to unlock: Finished 50 races in Sport mode.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is a lengthier version of the aforementioned trophy. Thankfully, the game only cares about you finishing races. You don't have to win them. Make sure you don't abandon a race prematurely, as the game will consider it unfinished.

Snap-Happy

How to unlock: Took 100 photos in Scapes or Race Photos.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You unlock Scapes mode by completing Menu 7 of the career mode. You can take any photos you'd like - the vehicles, tracks and backgrounds don't matter. If you want to quickly earn the trophy just keep taking photos without changing the settings in any way. Each photo will count to the trophy.

Memento from the Nurburgring

How to unlock: Took a Scapes photo of a BMW Gr - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Took a Scapes photo of a BMW Gr.3 car on the Nürburgring.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This trophy requires you to own a BMW Gr.3 model. One such car is the BMW M6 GT3 Endurance Model '16 pictured above, costing 450,000 credits.

Enter Scapes mode and use the Circuits filter when searching - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

Enter Scapes mode and use the Circuits filter when searching. Select any of the German Nurburgring tracks. Choose a BMW Gr.3 from the list of owned vehicles, place it somewhere in the frame and take a photo.

Memento from Le Mans

How to unlock: Took a Scapes photo of an Audi R18 TDI (Audi Sport Team Joest) on the Circuit de la Sarthe.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This trophy requires you to own an Audi R18 TDI '11. Unfortunately, this vehicle will cost you 3,000,000 credits.

Note - You can buy a cheaper Audi model in Brand Central, the Audi R18 '16, but it doesn't meet the trophy requirements! You're forced to spend three million on the most expensive model.

Enter Scapes mode and use the Circuits filter when searching - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

Enter Scapes mode and use the Circuits filter when searching. Go through the landscapes list and choose the French Le Mans track. Choose the Audi R18 TDI from the list of owned vehicles, place it somewhere in the frame and take a photo.

Heavy Haulage

How to unlock: Bought a pickup truck - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Bought a pickup truck.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You should automatically unlock this trophy when trying to beat Menu 26 in the career mode. One of the races in this chapter requires you to use a pickup. We recommend buying the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro '19 for 62,000 credits. You can also purchase the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor '11 but you also get it later, for free, as a reward.

How to unlock: Bought a car at the Legend Cars dealership.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This trophy is tied to the Legend Cars dealership where the vehicles on sale change regularly. You should wait for the cheaper legend cars, those costing 100-500k, to appear. By waiting you won't have to spend much more than necessary.

Wheely Good Fun

How to unlock: Bought 10 sets of wheels - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Bought 10 sets of wheels.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This trophy is associated with GT Auto. That's where you can buy new wheels. It doesn't matter what kinds of wheels you get, you just have to buy ten of them. You don't even have to install them - buying them is all that matters.

Firm Favorite

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: To get this trophy you should try the Drift Trials found in the Missions menu. They task you with drifting in drift-optimized vehicles. The trophy requires you to earn 10,000 points in total, so you can repeat the same trial until you reach that amount.

Join the 200-mph club

How to unlock: Reached a speed of 200 mph (322 km/h).

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You should get this trophy while playing the game normally. You'll find more information underneath the Speed Archdemon trophy.

Speed Archdemon

How to unlock: Reached a speed of 600km/h (373 mph).

Trophy type: silver - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

Trophy type: silver

Comment: Obtaining this trophy is quite difficult, as you'll need to use a specific car to get it. Go to Brand Central, enter the American category and select the Dodge brand. The vehicle you need is the Dodge SRT Tomahawk X VGT pictured above. Unfortunately, it costs 1,000,000 credits.

After purchasing the vehicle choose any race or time trial on the American Special Stage Route X track, unlockable by completing Menu 26 in the career mode - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

After purchasing the vehicle choose any race or time trial on the American Special Stage Route X track, unlockable by completing Menu 26 in the career mode.

The Dodge SRT Tomahawk X VGT has a special function of retracting aero elements, activated by pressing and holding down R3. This function should let you easily exceed 600 km/h without modifying the car in any other way.

Time Attacker

How to unlock: Took part in 100 time trials - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Took part in 100 time trials.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This trophy's description is a bit misleading, as it tasks you with completing 100 laps during Time Trials. We recommend choosing the very short American Northern Isle Speedway track, as well as a very fast car. Depending on your vehicle's performance you should be able to complete a lap in around 11-13 seconds. This means you can quickly reach the required hundred laps.

Round and Round

How to unlock: Drove 500 miles (804.672 km) on oval tracks.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This trophy can be worked on alongside the previous one, as Northern Isle Speedway is an oval track as well. Other oval tracks can also be chosen. The game doesn't care what kind of competitions you're taking part in when obtaining this trophy - you can get it during time trials, challenges, licenses, singleplayer and multiplayer races.

Going the Distance: Angeles Crest Highway

How to unlock: Drove the length of Angeles Crest Highway (U.S.): 66 miles (106 km).

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: Check the description of the Going the Distance: Route 66 trophy.

Going the Distance: 24 Hours of Le Mans

How to unlock: Drove the length of one complete 24 Hours of Le Mans race: 2209.536 km (1372.942 miles).

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: Check the description of the Going the Distance: Route 66 trophy.

Going the Distance: Route 66

How to unlock: Drove the length of Route 66 (U.S.): 2451 miles (3945 km).

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: All of the Going the Distance trophies require big time investment. You shouldn't prioritize them, as there's a significant chance you'll earn them along the way by simply playing the game.

The game doesn't care where you drive - career races, time trials, challenges, licenses, singleplayer and multiplayer races are all fair game. The easiest way to rack up kilometers is to drive on oval tracks and on Special Stage Route X, which consists of two very long straight lines, with each lap being around 30 kilometers.

Going the Distance Together: The Atlantic

How to unlock: Driving with other players online, you matched the distance covered by the first ever non-stop Transatlantic flight: 5810 km (3610 miles) - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Driving with other players online, you matched the distance covered by the first ever non-stop Transatlantic flight: 5810 km (3610 miles).

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is a modified version of the Going the Distance trophies. The difference is, this trophy adds up the kilometers traveled by all players participating in the session. You can look for specific multiplayer sessions focused on earning the Going the Distance Together trophies, an example of one pictured above (races on Special Stage Route X, focused on racking up distance).

You should know that you can also earn this trophy via singleplayer. You'll have to spend much more time to earn it though.

Going the Distance Together: The Autobahn

How to unlock: Driving with other players online, you matched the distance covered by the entire German Autobahn network: 13,191 km (8197 miles).

Trophy type: silver

Comment: This is a lengthier version of the aforementioned trophy. You and other players need to drive over twice as many kilometers in total.

Motor Mania

How to unlock: Stored 50 cars in your Garage.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: Check the description of the No Car, No Life! trophy.

No Car, No Life!

How to unlock: Stored 100 cars in your Garage - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Stored 100 cars in your Garage.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You'll earn many cars for free throughout the campaign, so you only need to take care of the ones you're missing. Check the Firm Favorite trophy in particular, earned for owning 10 identical cars. You can purchase other cars as well, preferably the cheap ones. Your current number of owned vehicles is displayed at the top of the screen in the Garage window.

Three Legendary Cars

How to unlock: Acquired three legendary race cars that were once destined to win 24 hour races - Gran Turismo 7: Trophies - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

How to unlock: Acquired three legendary race cars that were once destined to win 24 hour races.

Trophy type: silver

Comment: This is the most problematic trophy in the game, as it requires you to own three extremely rare and expensive cars. At the time of writing this guide the trophy was straight-up impossible to obtain, as the Legend Cars dealership simply didn't feature enough cars meeting the requirements yet.

The cars that definitely meet the trophy requirements are:

  1. Ford Mark IV Race Car '67 for 4,600,000 credits
  2. Sauber Mercedes C9 '89 for around 3,000,000 credits

Here are some other important tips:

  1. Your credits balance needs to be as high as possible - your total cash amount should be at least seven, preferably eight digits. This will let you purchase the appropriate vehicle immediately after it appears in the store.
  2. Not all Legendary cars tagged with #LeMans are eligible. For example, buying a Jaguar XJ13 '66 for 12,000,000 credits won't get you any closer to unlocking the trophy.
  3. Check the store's offer every day . If you spot a car meeting the requirements you must either buy it before the offer changes or hope it appears again in the future.
  4. Legend car prices constantly change. Be aware that they may be slightly higher or lower than the prices presented above.

Finale

How to unlock: Fulfilled requirements for ending.

Trophy type: gold

Comment: This trophy requires you to complete the career mode. You receive it by completing Menu 39, the career's final chapter.
