The gameplay is divided into two segments. The first one allows you to overlook a map of the fantasy world and move your units on it. When you encounter an enemy you are moved to a battlefield where you lead your men to battle in which each of the sides uses their abilities alternately.

The game offers four different scenarios set within different periods of Napoleon's rule.
