Our objective is to survive in the harsh conditions and find a way to escape, meaning that survival aspect plays a main role in the game. We are threatened not only by undead, but also more mundane nuisances, like hunger and diseases. Gameplay focuses on looking for food, medicines, and useful items.

The story of the game takes place in a fantasy reality loosely based on the Richard Wagner's famous epic opera Der Ring des Nibelungen and focuses on the stories of five, seemingly unrelated characters. The player gets to know each of them better as he progress in the game and their histories intertwine with each other, creating a single, epic tale.
