Inferno Climber is a fairy-fantasy action RPG released on PC. The title was developed by an experienced, Japanese studio Arc System Works, the creators of many jRPG games and two-dimensional fighting game series BlazBlue and Guilty Gear.

Plot

The plot of Inferno Climber for PC focuses on five legendary stones which have powerful magic powers. For centuries, the stones were heavily guarded by the inhabitants of five realms, providing peace and balance to the world. However, as the time passed by, people became more and more corrupted, leading the stones to fall into unworthy hands. Hordes of monsters attacked the world, causing it to fall. The player assumes the role of an innocent soul which makes an unordinary deal with the Death one hundred years after the world was led to ruin. If the soul manages to find the stones, it will be brought back to life.

Mechanics

The mechanics of PC version of Inferno Climber combine the traits of hack-and-slash dynamic action RPG with three-dimensional platform game. The action is shown from third person perspective and gameplay focuses on exploring various realms, fighting encountered enemies and bosses and getting through various dangers and traps - some of which can be used by the players to gain advantage over the opponents. The player can select from eight playable characters like the Knight, the Hunter, the Merchant or the Prisoner. Each of them has its own strong and weak sides. Since it is a RPG, during the game the player is gathering experience which allows gaining new levels, developing abilities and learning new spells. During the game one can also find many chests containing weapons, food and other useful items of varying parameters.

Technical aspects

Inferno Climber for PC has colorful, fully three-dimensional graphics. Despite the fact that it is a Japanese role-playing game, it doesn’t use typical Asian drawing style, but a fairy-fantasy style instead.
