In its premise, Frozen Synapse 2 doesn’t differ much from what its predecessor offered, and focuses on combat using small units, emphasizing strategic planning. The main distinguishing element of the game (and the whole series) is the fact that the encounters are turn-based, but the players make their moves simultaneously, rather than alternately.
