Mechanics

Aggressors: Ancient Rome is a classic representative of the 4X species, represented by the cult series like Master of Orion or Civilization. The player takes on the role of ruler of one of the 20 provinces of the Roman Empire and takes care of its economic, political and military development. The game takes place in rounds during which the player can move their units on the map, fight, expand the province, decide on the direction of its scientific and economic development and make key decisions concerning external policy. The artists tried to reflect the atmosphere of the epoch as faithfully as possible. The player must use the available resources efficiently, counteract crises and take care of beneficial deals with neighbours and the satisfaction of his subjects. One of the elements of the game is also a fight. This is tactical in nature, and the victory of the units sent to battle is determined not only by their size and type, but also by the terrain on which they are located.
