A sandbox economic strategy game developed by Radiant Entertainment, a debuting studio employing a team of two. The game is set in a medieval realm featuring fantasy elements, and the task of the players is to build a village and transform it into a vibrant city. In order to do this, it is necessary to collect raw materials and food as well as take care of the residents' safety.

Stonehearth for PC is a sandbox RTS with emphasis on the economy. This is the first game of Radiant Entertainment - the team founded by Tom and Tony Canzons - brothers known for establishing an e-sport Evolution Championship Series tournament, known as EVO.

Story

Action takes place in a realm at about medieval technological advancement, but inhabited by a lot of fantasy creatures. At the beginning of the game, the player takes command over a small group of settlers who are trying to create a new home for themselves in the inhospitable land.

Gameplay

Our task is to collect raw materials and food, build shelters and defend the population against numerous threats. The heart of the game is the development of the city. Game offers a wide range of ready-made architectural plans, but we might as well start from a scratch, and arrange each element according to our taste. The authors made sure that we have a lot of flexibility in shaping the development of the settlement. More aggressive players can forge their community into a military empire conquering everything in its way. Other users can depend on the trade, building a religious state, or combining each of these strategies in varying proportions. The most important factor of the empire is the population. Every settler has their own profession. Stonehearth for PC offers professions such as hunters, farmers, bricklayers, trappers, shepherds, carpenters, blacksmiths, doctors, alchemists and masters of brewing art. During the game, subordinates gain experience points, which allows them to advance to a next level of specialization. Combat in Stonehearth for PC resembles typical RTS games. In most battles we fight against armies of hostile nations, but from time to time we also have to deal with huge bosses.

Game modes

At the beginning of the game we can enable the peaceful game mode, in which we can focus entirely on the development of the city. Additionally, we can also use an intuitive modding tool. Players can design a new item in a couple of minutes, and then instantly import it into the virtual world. Thanks to this tool, we are able to change virtually every element of the game.
