Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

A two-dimensional action game developed for mobile platforms powered by Android and iOS. Sdorica was created by Rayark, a studio known for Implosion: Never Lose Hope, among other games. The action takes place in a fantasy world presented with beautiful hand-drawn graphics. Gameplay-wise, Scorica resembles 2D platformer games. The player’s task is to explore two-dimensional locations, conquer obstacles, collect items, and face various monsters.

The game shows an unpleasant vision of the future, in which the Earth has fallen victim to an alien invasion. Instead of defending the Blue Planet, the player assumes control over an Alien ship with an objective to face waves of human adversaries and defend enormous devices extracting resources and altering the Earth’s atmosphere.

A third-person action game created by former Ubisoft employees. Absolver invites the players to a fantasy realm styled after the Far East. The player assumes the role of a warrior, who wishes to join the eponymous group of elite guardians of peace and stability. The heart of gameplay is the complex system of short-range combat. The tragedy, instead of leading to the unification of the dying human race, led to a war over the remaining resources.

A complex remake of the first installment in the Yakuza series. The original title debuted on PlayStation 2 in 2005. The game takes place in 1995, eight years after the events shown in Yakuza 0. Kazuma Kiryu, the main protagonist, is a high ranked member of the criminal clan Tojo. He takes the blame for the murder of the patriarch of Dojima family, who was responsible for kidnapping his friend Yumi. After ten years the protagonist is released from prison.
ReCore: Definitive Edition

ARK: Survival Evolved

Unlike in the aforementioned title, this time we fight against powerful prehistoric creature instead of zombies. The game is the debut of an independent studio called Wildcard, founded by a former employee of Microsoft Game Studios. The player begins the game defenseless and naked on an unidentified island, and his or her task is to survive in this new, harsh environment.

Project Remedium takes place inside a human, where, during a routine medical treatment, some serious health problems were detected. To rescue the patient, medical nanobots are used, and the player controls one of them. Gameplay-wise, Project Remedium combines elements of action adventure game and classical first-person shooter. Our main task is to cure six key organs by eliminating foreign bodies and mutated cells.

The title is the debut project of the independent British studio called Freejam. The gameplay focuses on multiplayer competition with the use of personally designed vehicles on various maps that are different not only in terms of looks but also laws of physics. We build our very own cars with available blocks.
Distrust

The player assumes control of two survivors, who got stuck near an abandoned base in the arctic, as a result of a helicopter crash. The crash itself is only the beginning of their trouble, as a creature remains in the vicinity of the base - becoming a deadly threat to the characters.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

For the first time in the history of the series, we control a different character – Chloe Frazer. Gameplay wise, the game reuses the mechanics seen in The Thief’s End.

The game takes place in a procedurally generated open world, with the player placed in the role of a character trying to survive the confrontations with supernatural beings without losing his sanity in the eponymous dark wood.

A spin-off to Killing Floor, an FPS series developed by Tripwire Interactive. The game was made for Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch controllers. In Killing Floor: Incursion we play as a soldier of an elite unit, Horzine Security Forces, who along with their companions must face Zeds, a type of zombie known by fans of the series. The game is an FPS with very arcade gameplay. Our goal is to eliminate everything that moves and doesn't look like a human.
