The game focuses on a war raging in a distant part of the universe between three empires competing for access to the titular, valuable resource – Etherium. In the story campaign we choose one of the factions characterized by different abilities and weaknesses, and are given access to one of three specializations: mastery of the weather, predicting the future, or advanced espionage.

Compass Point: West is set in a small town somewhere in the Wild West, and your task is to help the sheriff protect the town and the locals. It is made more difficult by the fact that the area is terrorized by the henchmen of an oil tycoon called Oliver Driller, who wants to make the locals' life harder and to gain access to oil deposits.

The production was inspired by the cult game Master of Magic from 1994, and the authors designed it as its spiritual successor. The game takes place in a multi-dimensional, procedurally generated universe, where the fierce struggle for dominance requires the use of magic and sword. The gameplay focuses on four classic aspects: exploration, expansion, exploitation, and extermination.

The game was rejuvenated by Gearbox Software, studio known for the game series Borderlands and Brothers in Arms. We follow the history of Kushan, a forgotten race that was attacked by an alien civilization and almost entirely wiped out. However, over six hundred thousand of Kushans survived in the hypersleep chambers of a gigantic Mothership.

The gameplay is divided into two segments. The first one allows you to overlook a map of the fantasy world and move your units on it. When you encounter an enemy you are moved to a battlefield where you lead your men to battle in which each of the sides uses their abilities alternately.

As we start the game, we create our own character and choose the necessary equipment.

Akihiko Yoshida, art director of such hits as Final Fantasy Tactics or Bravely Default, was involved in its development. Battle Champs bears a resemblance to the famous Clash of Clans — the player’s task is to gather resources, build a settlement, and then defend it from other participants’ attacks. Apart from regular combat units, giants play an important role in Battle Champs.

The game was produced by Focus Home Interactive, which purchased the brand license after the original publisher, Monte Cristo, went bankrupt.
