One's tasks in the game are to manage the company and design particular vehicles, taking even the smallest details into account.

Automation: The Car Company Tycoon Game for PC is a complex title which in terms of the genre, resides in-between of simulation and strategy. The game begins in 1946 and ends in 2020, and the player's main goal here is to become a successful car producer. The gameplay as such is thus based on two pillars. The first is constituted by designing particular car models from scratch. At the beginning, the player designs relatively simplistic, post-war vehicles. Over time, once the entire industry has developed, the player creates more and more sophisticated, modern machines. The game reaches the end when the player's company begins to produce futuristic cars.

Contrary to other tycoon games, the player is capable of designing vehicles with attention to the smallest details here. Not only does the player decide about how the car looks and what will be its color, but also chooses the car equipment, as well as different parts to be installed in it. Furthermore, the players that have sufficient knowledge can take on the challenge that the advanced engine configuration brings – one decides about the engine's structure, parameters and performance. Those unacquainted with technical aspects of cars can benefit from the in-game tutorials, which explain the principles of car construction in a way that is easy to understand.

Managing the company is the second pillar the gameplay was based on. Initially, the player's company is relatively small, but over time, it transforms into a car industry giant. The player is required to pay a lot of attention to the game's constantly changing car market, as well as to the trends present here. For instance, one can produce cars for over 40 target groups or find a niche market where their company will be unbeatable. The player also has to build new factories and manage the existing ones, as well as create a positive image of the company, for example, through promotional campaigns. It is worth noticing, that time is a relative in the game, because the player decides how quickly it passes.

Game modes

Automation: The Car Company Tycoon Game for PC offers both singleplayer and multiplayer modes. Within the singleplayer, one will find a complex campaign, single scenarios (serving the role of challenges), as well as the sandbox mode, which allows the player to develop their business empire as long as they wish to. In the multiplayer, one will encounter both cooperation and competition between the players. Up to seven players can take part in one session.

Technical aspects

Automation: The Car Company Tycoon Game brings a three-dimensional environment. The technology behind the game was created specifically for this project, thus the creators were able to present particular vehicles with attention to the smallest details. Especially, it applies to the engines, for the player can look closely at its different components. The other elements of the visuals are pretty solid, but less detailed. This however, made it possible to maintain hardware requirements on a relatively low level.
