Using the map is very difficult.

The Forest game is set on a fictional island, known simply as the Peninsula. The island is spacious and filled with thick forests, huge glades and even ice and stormy mountains in the northern part of the island. Apart from the island, the player also has the opportunity to explore the vast caves along the island's surface. Navigating this vast area is difficult due to the fact that the game doesn't give the player a map (or even a mini-map) or a compass and reaching key places is very complicated.

Remedy for this problem is the ability to get a map and a compass - this process is described in the chapter "How to quickly get a map and a compass". However, it would not be too simple, the game's developers have prepared the map in such a way that you had to save it on your own. When the player acquires a map, it is just an empty white canvas - only then the exposed places are marked on the canvas, which generates the map in real time.

For those who don't want to waste time painstakingly discovering the map on their own, or want to learn all the secrets of the island, the community has prepared (and is still working on) an interactive map. There you can mark, according to your own preferences, which points (representing the location of specific objects) will be marked on it. Thanks to this, objects and attractions that interest us can be easily and quickly traced.
