Description, requirements
Marquee Matchups are SBCs (Squad Building Challenges) that appear in the FIFA 23 Ultimate Team mode each week. SBC's Marquee Matchups usually consist of four specific tasks, which are related to the four highlighted football matches played globally in a given week. Usually these are high-stakes matches, such as the Champions League or league derby (El Clasico, league hit), but there may also be international matches (Nations League, World or European Championship) and interesting clashes between teams from the middle of the table of various soccer leagues.
To complete SBC Marquee Matchups, you must use players from both clubs or national teams selected for the task. For example, if FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich are playing together, you will need to use at least 1 player from both teams or at least 2 players from the same club. You'll also have to meet other conditions, e.g. a given minimum overall lineup rating, appropriate compatibility level, the number of leagues or nationalities.
SBC Marquee Matchups premiere
The SBC's Important Matches in FUT 23 appear every Thursday at 6 pm CET (10:00 AM PT time, 1:00 pm ET time). You have exactly one week to complete Marquee Matchups, until the next challenge goes live.
Earning on SBC Marquee Matchups
You can choose the matches that will appear in SBC Marquee Matchups yourself, but it requires a bit of preparation and reviewing the list of matches planned for a given week. It is definitely worth paying attention to unique football events such as the clash of the top teams in the Champions League, El Clasico (FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid), cup finals, matches of the top teams (Portugal vs Spain, England vs Germany) or top league matches.
Once you have picked the right matches, go to the FUT 23 transfer market and buy some gold, but cheap player cards with an overall rating of 75-78. Don't buy expensive players because everyone is always looking for the cheapest possible SBC solution anyway. Then, put up the bought cards for a higher price when SBC Marquee Matchups start - that's when the demand will be the highest and thus their price will go up.
