Farming Simulator 19: Animal husbandry machines, vehicles Farming Simulator 19 Guide and Tips
Last update: 04 May 2020
This chapter contains descriptions of machines in Farming Simulator 19 that are used for various animal-related works.
Trailers for transporting animals
Livestock can be purchased from a livestock trader, and then transported in special trailers - use this method to avoid additional costs for transporting animals. The same goes for selling livestock. You can't transport chickens. Only Joskin Betimax RDS 7500 can be attached to the majority of the vehicles. The other two trailers require a truck or a tractor with a dolly adapter. These trailers are for transporting pigs, cows, and sheep.
Purchase Bockmann Big Master Western WCF to transport horses. It can only transport two horses at a time.
Transporting liquids
Liquids available in the game are water and milk. You can transport water in the same tanks as milk or you can decide to use a cheaper model from Animals category - Joskin Aquatrans 7300 S. Milk is received only from cows - purchasing a more expensive trailer is pointless when you don't breed these animals.
You cannot use a trailer from the Misc category to transport liquids: FST 990 - this trailer is for transporting fuel only.
Straw and food
If you use bale straw, you will have to use one of the Warzee or KUHN PRIMOR 15070 machines to spread straw in your homestead. If you use loose straw, simply unload the semi-trailer near the homestead or pour straw out of the shovel.
Two machines are used to prepare mixed feed for cows: KUHN Knight RA 142 and SILOKING TrailedLine Duo 1814. Fill them with grass, hay, silage or chopped straw, preferably keeping the right proportions of mixed feed, and then run the machine to mix the ingredients. Fill the hoppers from above with a shovel for a loose mold, or throw in the bales directly. Once the ingredients are mixed, drive to the cow's pen and you can start unloading the machine's contents.
