When can I start playing?
This depends on your platform - release dates vary for PC and console versions:
- On PC, Greymoor DLC will debut on May 26, 2020.
- As for PS4 and XONE, Greymoor will debut on June 9, 2020.
Greymoor expansion - is it free?
The "default" answer to that is no. However, you can access the DLC without spending money on it:
- If you have paid for ESO Plus subscription, you don't have to buy Greymoor separately. One of the benefits of paying for a monthly ESO Plus subscription is the free access to all DLC add-ons. This includes the Greymoor expansion, meaning you can start playing it straight away.
- If you do not have an ESO Plus subscription, you will have to buy Greymoor expansion separately. You can choose from several different options - we have described them in more detail below.
List of Greymoor versions
- The Elder Scrolls Online - Greymoor Upgrade - $39.99 - The standard version of the Greymoor expansion for players who already own any version of The Elder Scrolls Online.
- The Elder Scrolls Online - Greymoor Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade - $49.99 - This collector's edition of the Greymoor expansion is for players who already own any version of The Elder Scrolls Online. The contents of the collector's edition are described below.
- The Elder Scrolls Online - Greymoor - $59.99 -A set consisting of The Elder Scrolls Online and the standard version of the Greymoor DLC. This is one of the purchase options for people who do not own any version of TESO.
- The Elder Scrolls Online - Greymoor Digital Collector's Edition - $79.99 - A set consisting of The Elder Scrolls Online and the collector's edition of the Greymoor expansion. This is one of the purchase options for people who do not own any version of TESO. The contents of the collector's edition are described below.
It is worth noting that The Elder Scrolls Online - Greymoor and The Elder Scrolls Online - Greymoor Collector's Edition also include previously released major story expansions such as Morrowind, Summerset, and Elsweyr.
Bonuses - pre-order
Below is a list of bonuses for people who pre-ordered the Greymoor DLC:
- Mount - Holdbreaker Warhorse - Available right away, you don't have to wait for the release of the expansion.
- Jarl Finery outfit with Jarl Crown.
- Pet: Sacrificial Pocket Mammoth - It doesn't take part in fights and is not the size of a "real" mammoth, but it can follow the hero.
- Nightfall Preview Crown Crate with random prizes.
- Western Skyrim Treasure Map (a new region added with the Greymoor expansion).
- Two Crown Experience Scrolls - Get experience points faster.
Bonus - Collector's Edition
Below is a list of bonuses for people who purchased the Collector's Edition of the Greymoor DLC. The Collector's Edition is available for those who buy the expansion alone, and for those who purchase the basic game + Greymoor DLC set.
- Pet: Death Hound - It does not participate in combat, but can follow the hero.
- Swordthane Outfit.
- Mount: Crypt Warden Death Hound - Travel on its back around the game world.
- Emote Pack: Skyrim - Use them to communicate with other players.
- Memento: Orb of Magnus - A unique collector's item.
