Humankind – Sid Meier's Civilization's new grooves

  1. Why are we waiting: we are counting on "one more turn syndrome"
  2. Release date: 22 April 2021
  3. Genre: strategy 4X
  4. Platform: Windows PC

Amplitude already has released some great 4X strategies (exploration, expansion, exploitation, and extermination), but the previous titles have been set in fantasy or scifi universes. Humankind brings everything "down to earth", because we will have to develop an ordinary small community – from the Bronze Age to modern times. You will have to take care of the economy, form a strong army and make sure to make technological progress.

It can be seen immediately that the authors bet on associations with absolute classics and want to create competition for Sid Meier's Civilization . Healthy competition is not bad and we hope that Humankind will be a good alternative to this famous series. The more so because the developers have introduced a number of their own solutions and are trying to show the development of civilization from a slightly more realistic perspective. Again, we are facing sleepless nights, battles, inventions, famous historical figures and events and, hopefully, the famous "one more turn syndrome".

Back 4 Blood – Left 4 Dead returns

  1. Why are we waiting: we are counting on success in the style of L4D, not Evolve
  2. Release date: 22 June 2021
  3. Genre: FPP action game
  4. Platforms: PC Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X

Hordes of zombies have taken over the world, and a handful of survivors are trying to make it out alive somehow and establish a new order. The plot of Back 4 Blood is neither original nor delightful – just another game about a zombie apocalypse. However, the game is developed by the creators of the famous cooperation shooter Left 4 Dead, so there are chances for a successful production. On the other hand, it is impossible to forget about the not very good Evolve ,which makes it necessary to approach Back 4 Blood with some caution.

For the time being, we know that we will again have to eliminate zombies in teams of fours and observing the action from the first-person perspective. Each character is to have unique abilities as well as special weapons and equipment. If you don't find any companions to play in cooperation, you will be able to play with AI-controlled allies. The game will offer a much greater variety of opponents than L4D did, while the interesting system of modifiers will diversify the fun, for example through the weather or the speed of regeneration of health. There will also be PvP modes. In the summer, we will see if zombies are still trendy in 2021.
