In 2020 we were enthralled by Ghost of Tsushima. In the next year it may be the ghosts of Tokyo – yokai. They are the ones we will face in Ghostwire: Tokyo, which is the work of the "father" of the Resident Evil and The Evil Within series. The plot seems quite mysterious – almost the entire population of the city disappears from the capital of Japan, while sinister ghosts and members of some secret group are circling the streets. Players are cast in the middle of all this, trying to survive in the metropolis and solve the mystery of this disaster.
Players will observe the action from the first-person perspective and fight numerous battles making use of protagonists supernatural abilities. The diverse and quite unusual opponents are bound to impress players. Among them, one can find a small child in a yellow cape, who can summon other ghosts to help. All this suggests an interesting mix of horror and action games, and in PS5 version we can still count on special effects in the triggers of the new DualSense pad.
Gotham Knights – RPG with Batman's proteges
- Why are we waiting: it's never too much of the dark vibe of Gotham City, even without Batman
- Release date: 2021
- Genre: Action RPG
- Platforms: PC Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X
The creators of the Batman: Arkham series return with a new game, once again set in the DC Comics universe and once again in the dark Gotham City. This time, however, we will not play as Batman but his friends: Bat Girl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood. In terms of the story, it is a completely new entry, unrelated to the Arkham series. Without Batman in the city, the four "Knights of Gotham" will have to somehow bring order to an increasingly chaotic metropolis.
Although the most famous character of DC Comics is missing, during the game we will face famous Batman's opponents such as Penguin, Mr. Freeze or Two-Face. You'll find a lot of RPG elements here, but Gotham Knights is primarily an action game with quite arcade gameplay. However, we will have to improve our costumes and equipment as well as improve our skills. As the experience level grows, our opponents will also gain new abilities or learn new attacks. Gotham is an open world that can be freely explored. With a team, we will be able to switch between characters at will, unless we decide to play in a two-person co-op.
