Twelve Minutes Review: Time Well Spent
Time loops make for some interesting plots, but how a film or game uses it to move the action along determines how effective it is in the end. But just remember – the clock is ticking.

12 Minutes Description
12 Minutes is a thriller adventure game developed by Luis Antonio, who was also responsible for the visuals of The Witness.
Plot
In 12 Minutes we play as a man whose peaceful evening turns into a nightmare. A policeman comes to his apartment, accusing the hero's wife of murder. It comes to a struggle and eventually, our character is killed.
Instead of gaining an eternal rest, the man wakes up twelve minutes earlier. He quickly discovers that he is trapped in a time loop. He needs to find a way to discover what's really going on and come up with a way to keep himself and his wife alive.
Mechanics
12 Minutes is a thriller adventure game in which the action is limited to one apartment. The player must play out the looped fragments, trying to find a sequence of actions and decisions that will keep him alive and achieve other goals.
The apartment is small, but densely filled with usable facilities. Combined with the rich possibilities for interaction with characters, this gives us plenty of freedom to try out sequences to find the right one.
Game modes
12 Minutes offers single-player mode only. The devs did not prepare any multiplayer games.
Technical aspects
The game features simple, but nice visuals. The action is watched from a camera placed high above the head of the character, and the whole thing has been designed to enhance the claustrophobic atmosphere of the story.
