Crafting | Enemies Dying Light Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Crafting in Dying Light has many similarities to the Dead Island series, although there are some new elements and important changes. Basically, it can be divided into three categories, that is actions focusing on creating items (blueprints and boosters), on upgrading the weapons already possessed and on repairing the used weapons. All of those branches have been thoroughly described in the following pages of this chapter.
Important - Don't forget about unlocking abilities connected to the crafting. You will find them in the Survivor tree and some of them are:
- Survival Starter Kit - you get free blueprints required for creating lockpicks, firecrackers, stars and Molotov cocktails
- Boosters - unlocks the ability to create boosters
- Boosters XL - boosters work longer
- Elemental Throwing Stars - unlocks the ability to create stars with additional effects (like putting on fire or freezing enemies)
- DIY Grenades - unlocks the ability to create grenades with additional effects (like poisoning or freezing enemies)
- Trap Bombs - unlocks the ability to create trap bombs with additional effects (like poisoning or bleeding enemies)
- Crafting Expertise - crafting more items from the same amount of materials
- Lucky Repair - you get a chance for increasing the amount of allowed repairs for a specific weapon
- Craftsman - you deal more damage with weapons created from the blueprints
- Specialist - increases the chances of dealing critical damage with weapons created from the blueprints
