When playing Diablo 4, you may accidentally sell a valuable item. Our guide tells you how to buy back an item from a merchant and how to easily check if a given item is unique and not just a random loot.
Unique items
As you progress through the game, you will acquire special items (weapons, armor pieces, amulets, etc.). You can recognize them, for example, by the very low selling price (1 coin). These are mainly rewards for quests, not obtained as random loot.
When you try to sell a unique item, the game will warn you about its uniqueness - you need to confirm that you want to sell it.
You can put things you don't need in the Stash so you won't fill up your inventory.
Buyback list
If you accidentally sell a unique item or other item you wanted to keep, you can use the Buyback option. In the trade window, go to the Purchase tab. You can find recently sold items in the lower left corner of the screen. You can get them back by spending coins.
You can buy back an item even from another merchant. However, try not to leave the location with the merchants or exit the game, because then you may lose the option to buy back and the sold item will be lost forever.
