Diablo 4 (D4) Ancients Seat - How to Find and Unlock. Darkened Way Explained

We are already more than a week into the second season of Diablo 4. The vampire themed patch introduced more content into the game, as well as new Battle Pass. With the release of Season of Blood, D4 debuted on Steam, which seems to be common practise for Blizzard lately, though still unexpected. Speaking about unexpected things, in the new season there is one location from main campaign that is still shown on the map – Darkened Way. Is there any purpose to this area in the new season? Ancient’s Seat location in Diablo 4 Season 2
Many players were surprised by the presence of Darkened Way marker on a map in Fractured Peaks region after completing the quest in Season 1. Turns out, the location is quite useful in Season of Blood. It is a way to get to Ancient’s Seat. There, you will be able to find Uber Boss called Lord Zir, a new end game enemy.
In order to summon the boss, you will have to interact with the Bloodied Altar at the end of the dungeon. There, you will need to conduct the Ritual of Blood which requires 9 Exquisite Blood items. They can be obtained by defeating world bosses and completing Legion events in World Tier 4. After sacrificing the required amount of Exquisite Blood vials on the altar, you will be able to fight Lord Zir.
