Dante's weapons in Devil May Cry 5 Devil May Cry 5 guide, walkthrough

Last update: 19 March 2019

Dante - the main character of the Devil May Cry series - becomes playable after beating half of the game. He has access to the biggest number of weapons and abilities. On top of that, Dante is very powerful and easy to control - he has no problems with eliminating both regular enemies and bosses. However, some players may not like his playstyle where you have to use stylish combos.

Sword

Rebellion / Sparda / Devil Sword Dante - through the campaign, Dante keeps getting new weapons while others get different versions or get replaced with new ones. Rebellion gets replaced with Sparda. Later, Dante absorbs both Rebellion and Sparda to form Devil Sword Dante. These three swords are Dante's basic weapons. They aren't as fast as some other weapons but they offer better reach - you can keep your distance from enemies when you are attacking them. You can decide which sword you want to use by going to the customization tab. Remember, each sword has its own skills which must be purchased separately!

Balrog

Balrog allows Dante to fight with his fists and legs.

This weapon allows Dante to use his fists and legs to attack enemies. His attacks become faster but Dante must get closer to an enemy. Balrog is great for creating various combos and high Style Rank. If you switch to Swordmaster Style and press the Style Action button (MMB), you will be able to perform additional attacks in Blow Mode - you can launch enemies into the air or hit the ground while you are airborne. To switch between modes: hold Shift + backward + LMB.

Cavaliere

Cavaliere drags enemies into its spinning wheels dealing them continuous damage and building up your Combo meter. - Dantes weapons in Devil May Cry 5 - Dante - Devil May Cry 5 Guide

You unlock this motorbike after the boss fight in Mission 11. This is a slow weapon that has an interesting mechanic - when your attack lands on an enemy, Cavaliere gets stuck in their body dealing them continuous damage. Buy upgrades for this weapon to make it more useful, especially against slow and large enemies or groups of demons.

King Cerberus

King Cerberus uses fire, thunder and ice elements.

A good and fast weapon - you get it after beating Mission 16. Thanks to its speed and reach, you can set King Cerberus as your primary weapon.

Coyote-A

Charge the weapon and shoot when it starts glowing - this will deal additional damage (you need to purchase this upgrade first). - Dantes weapons in Devil May Cry 5 - Dante - Devil May Cry 5 Guide

Pistols and Coyote-A are Dante's default ranged weapons. Great for combos - this weapon pushes nearby enemies backward. You can also use Coyote-A during exploration to destroy trees with Red Orbs. We recommend using this weapon in your starting loadout.

Ebony & Ivory

Twin pistols with high accuracy and fire rate. Useful in fights with enemies you don't want to approach or when you have low health and prefer fighting at a distance. Sadly, they don't deal much damage.

Kalina Ann

Double Kalina Ann deals huge damage in a straight line.

You get Kalina Ann in the second-to-last mission. This is a large rocket launcher that deals good damage. However, this weapon has a low fire rate. In Mission 11, you can get the original Kalina Ann that belonged to Lady. If you do that, you will get Double Kalina Ann. This version is much more powerful but its charging attack takes a few seconds.

Devil Trigger and Sin Devil Trigger

Dante uses Devil Trigger to deal more damage, increase his durability and start regenerating health - Dantes weapons in Devil May Cry 5 - Dante - Devil May Cry 5 Guide

Dante uses Devil Trigger to deal more damage, increase his durability and start regenerating health. Also, some attacks get replaced with more powerful versions. Even a standard combo consisting of basic attacks can deal a lot of damage.

Sin Devil Trigger is even more powerful and it has its own skills that you can unlock. To use Sin Devil Trigger, hold the Devil Trigger button to transfer DT points to SDT bar. Once it is full, hold the DT button to activate Sin Devil Trigger.
