In Dave the Diver, the Escape Pod is a very useful tool that can help you avoid drowning or emerge back on the surface much faster than if you would on your own. On this page of our guide, we show when it is possible and how to summon an Escape Pod, and in what situations the tool is most useful.

- Escape Pod is an alternative, much easier way of returning back to the surface. You can use it even deep underwater and it will take you instantly back to the boat. This is very useful when deep diving, as going back all the way up to the boat by yourself would take a lot of time or even be impossible because of the limited oxygen supply.
- To be able to summon an Escape Pod, look for a walkie-talkie icon during your dives. Once you approach the icon, hold SPACE to interact with it.
- The Pod will ride down to your location, and Dave will automatically board it. This will take you back to your boat instantly, ending the current dive and switching the time of day.
- Using the Escape Pod is free of charge, and you can find the walkie-talkies used to summon it in various locations of the Blue Hole.
When to use the Escape Pod?
- Escape Pod is mainly useful when you need to avoid drowning and quickly return to the surface if the current oxygen supply won't allow you to do that.
- You can also use the Pod in case of being chased by a predator (make sure that the monster doesn't interrupt the summoning procedure). Best to wait for an attack of a predator (e.g. a charge) and only then approach the walkie-talkie icon.
- Another good opportunity to use a Pod is after exceeding the carrying capacity. When overencumbered, Dave's mobility is limited, which may make returning back to the surface very difficult.
