How to increase base oxygen?
- In the initial phase of Chapter 1, one of the quests unlocked will be Tracking the Sea People, and as a result of it, you receive access to IDiver app on your smartphone that allows upgrading your equipment.
- One of the available upgrades is Air Tank, which when activated, permanently increases base oxygen capacity. This means lengthening the time you can spend underwater. For further upgrades, you need to pay with gold, which you can score from restaurant sections, completing quests and selling items at Cobra's shop.
- Cobra's shop has a constantly changing, randomized stock, but you may come across a temporary oxygen capacity upgrade. In the example from the screenshot, an upgrade costing 20 gold increases the capacity by 10%.
- The major drawback of items from Cobra's shop is that they only work for one day, and with the transition to the next day, they are lost. Nevertheless, a temporary boost can turn out to be very useful and it is best to make use of it if you bought one.
How to replenish oxygen underwater?
- After an underwater section commences, you aren't limited only to air from your oxygen tank. There are several techniques of replenishing oxygen underwater and extending the overall dive time. Knowing them becomes important in later stages of the game, when you embark on dives in really deep waters.
- During underwater sections, look for 02 stations to replenish the oxygen - exemplary one shown in the screenshot above.
- Another way is using Oxygen Capsules - consumable items. You can find them as loot in underwater chests or buy them from Cobra's shop.
- Every Oxygen Capsule has to be activated manually - for this, press C on the keyboard (the consumable has to be in the active slot). This replenishes 50% of the tank. We recommend carrying a supply of Oxygen Capsules and leaving them for situations when e.g. you are very deep underwater with not much oxygen left in the tank.
How does the Sea People Bracelet work?
- Shortly after completing the Beyond the Rock Pile quest in Chapter 1, you can meet again on the boat with Dr. Bacon. He will give you a Charm - Sea People Bracelet.
- With a new Charm, visit Diver Box on the boat. For passive bonuses from Charms to work, you need to place them in active slots in Diver Box.
- Sea People Bracelet, for example, allows longer time underwater. To be exact, the bracelet makes you able to survive some time without oxygen - it may be enough to return to Escape Pod or one of the oxygen replenishment spots.
