Keep changing the fire mode
Remember that you can change your fire mode when you are using automatic rifles (V in default). Use single shots to take down your enemies from a distance. Use automatic mode at a closer range. The bullet icon in the below picture (on the left side) will inform you what fire mode are you currently using.
Bleeding out
Hold LMB during Call for Revive when you know that your allies are nearby. Thanks to that you can stay on the battlefield a little bit longer by stopping the bleeding. However, if you had fallen to close to the enemy and there is no one to help you, use the Right Mouse Button to skip the bleeding out screen.
Look for ammunition chests and medical packs
Search for ammo chests or medical packs when you need health or ammo and you don't have anyone around you.
Sprint
You don't have to press the prone key to get up. Start sprinting (Shift is the default key). Thanks to that you can change your position faster. Use this frequently because the matches can be very dynamic - the faster you can crawl and get up, the better.
Build fortifications.
Press T (the default key) to take out your hammer. The game informs in which place you can build something. This mechanic is useful when you have to defend a spot. Remember that the support class is building faster than other soldiers. In the game, you can build positions secured with sandbags, fortifications, you can reinforce doors, walls and windows, and you can construct stationary fire positions.
Time your actions with your allies
Coordinate your actions with those of your allies. Additionally, cooperating with your team enables you to gain more points, to respawn close to them, and to quickly return to combat. Take advantage of that, help your friends, and dominate the battlefield together - there is nothing worse in this game than enemies that know how to help each other.
Give orders
Completing and giving orders speed up the process of collecting points that can be spend on reinforcements. You can do it by pressing the "give order" key or the Commo Rose (by default its key Q). With this key you can also inform your allies what you need.
Use class items
Use gadgets unique to your class - all class-related gadgets are highly useful (maybe besides the anti-tank mine which is only useful in destroying vehicles). Since players die frequently in Battlefield 5, you should use the class items often. For example, the smoke grenade rifle equipped by a medic enables you to cover from enemy fire and to help your allies.
Use covers. Enemies can kill you quickly, even from a longer distance, when you are standing in an open field. Remember that you can also lean from a cover and shoot (the game can do it automatically when you're near a cover). Make sure that the enemies won't find you while you're moving. This will increase your chances for survival and if you die, your allies will be able to revive you while safely remain behind a cover.
Use secondary weapon
Using the secondary weapon in a critical situation (when you're reloading your main weapon) is crucial - pulling out the second weapon takes much less time than reloading. Take advantage of that and be faster than your opponent.
Use upgrades
In addition to gaining class levels, you can also gain levels for each weapon. This enables you to buy useful upgrades. You can for example reduce the recoil or enable a bayonet charge. Don't worry if you selected a wrong upgrade - the whole tree can be reset if you reach weapon level 4. In the beginning of the game you have bought all weapon upgrades for the first weapons.
