The Witcher Monster Slayer has an almost minimalist interface, which can be hard to understand during the first few hours of gameplay. On this page we have desrcibed the vitality of the character and enemies, bombs and how to charge a critical hit.

Character's vitality

Vitality cannot be regenerated during combat. However, it can be affected by drinking potions:

  1. Swallow - regenerates 1% of vitality per second;
  2. Swift - increases maximum vitality by 50%.

Parrying hits doesn't negate damage. You should keep this in mind, especially if you are low on vitality.

Enemy vitality

The opponent's vitality is visible just above their head. By attacking your opponent, you can keep their health points under control. It's worth remembering that some monsters are weaker to strong hits and others to fast ones. This significantly affects the amount of hit points they lose.

Bombs

Bombs can be bought or crafted. The following bombs are available in the game:

  1. Basic Bomb - deals 525 points of damage;
  2. Grapeshot - deals 525 points of steel damage and 800 points of kinetic damage;
  3. Moon Dust - Deals 525 points of silver damage and 800 points of kinetic damage;
  4. Dancing Star - deals 525 points of fire damage and 800 points of kinetic damage;
  5. Dimeritium Bomb - Deals 525 points of kinetic damage and releases clouds of dimeritium.

You can select your bombs before the fight. You can carry several bombs, but only of one type.

Keep in mind the monster's weaknesses when selecting the bombs. This will increase your chances of winning the fight.

Critical hit
