Witcher Monster Slayer: Navigating the map Witcher Monster Slayer guide, walkthrough
Last update: 20 July 2021
The Witcher Monster Slayer taps into the location of your device. However, the map you see on your phone screen may be different from the one you would see in google or bing. This page describes how the map works and how to navigate it.
Map appearance
You will get a look of the first map right after you launch the game for the first time. It features the character, surrounding creatures, and resources. This map also shows the interaction area and the direction in which you should go to reach missions.
In the interaction area you can fight and collect resources.
The direction of the mission is marked by golden arrows; if you are close to the target, you will also see golden points on the map.
The whole map
You can see the entire map when you click the icon located in the lower left corner. Once it is highlighted, you will see the surrounding area, monsters, and mission objectives.
On this map you can switch between three categories of monsters:
- common,
- rare,
- legendary.
Navigating the map
The character on the map moves according to your real position. If you need to go north to reach something, you should simply head in the correct direction. This way, you will easily reach your destination.
However, the character sometimes moves quite slowly, making it hard to judge your position. It's a good idea to lock your phone for a moment and check your location after a few dozen meters.
Car, public transportation, bicycle
The game does not work if you move too fast. You can't play while riding a bike, scooter, let alone riding on a bus or driving a car. When you stop, the game will focus on the location you are currently in.
