This page of the guide contains the walkthrough of chapter 4 of Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception. The chapter is titled Run to the Ground. It is about breaking into a garage and Nate must find a way to sneak inside the building. In the later part of the stage there will be channels to explore and Drake must complete, among others, a longer climb through a large shaft.
Once we regain control over Drake, we go towards the companions and follow Sullivan through a narrow passage [1].
As soon as Charlie joins us, we jump over the low fence [1]. Due to the fact that the gate is locked, we begin to climb along the installation located to the right of the gate [2]. At this point, our bald friend will open the gate and we have to return down to the street and follow our companions.
After jumping over the fence, we will find ourselves in a yard with a trailer. It must be pushed under the high fence [1] and used as a platform to get to the wider street. Running forward, we will run into another member of our team, acquire a gun, and learn about the further action plan [2].
Together with the entire team, we approach the garage [1]. Drake will be sent out to investigate and we will have to take a quiet look inside the building. First of all, we go out through the gutter [2] located to the right of the garage door.
As soon as the rusted gutter breaks away from the wall [1], we jump higher and go further to the left.
We climb on a spare gutter attached to the roof, go through the corner of the building [1] and descend to the roof located below. We run to the other side and jump onto the gutters [2].
Moving along the lower one, we leave the wall of the building [1] and jump forward to the lamp. After a few jumps we will reach an open window [2], through which we enter the building.
Once inside, we jump to the metal pipes located on the right side [1]. From this point we lower ourselves to the open window [2], go through it and, moving along the wall on the left side, reach the corner of the room.
All we need to do now is to lower ourselves carefully to the ground by using the stone window sills [1]. Contrary to expectations, the garage will turn out to be completely empty [2].
Approach the garage door and let the rest of your companions inside [1] to solve the riddle of the disappeared car.
First of all, we look at fresh tire tracks [1]. By following them we will reach four separate tracks left on the movable platforms. We step on them [2] and after a while we put our companions on them.
Contrary to expectations, nothing will happen. Without getting up from the stone tiles, we look around the room. When we turn towards the nearest wall, a strange mechanism will appear from under the bricks [1]. We light it with a flashlight to watch a cut-scene and then move through the tunnel.
We will find locked doors [1] located to the right of the large gate. The lock needs to be shot with a gun [2].
After squeezing through a narrow gap, we will come across two opponents, alerted by our careless movement [1]. We get rid of them by shooting them from behind the cover. Two more enemies will appear once we enter the room - do not spare lead on them.
Once the area is cleared, we approach the ladder [1] through which the enemies enter the room and proceed to a wide tunnel [2].
Now we jump into a wet room and leave it through an open hatch [1]. Go down to the bottom of the mine through metal pipes attached to the wall. We jump onto the ones on the right side [2], lower ourselves and jump onto the long pipe on the right side, slightly hidden in the darkness, sliding down to the very bottom.
While going through the tunnels we will see enemies approaching our position [1]. We hide behind cover, wait for them to appear and take them out as quietly and quickly as possible [2].
After entering the next room, we look up to locate the ladder [1] that we can reach by climbing up the pipes along the wall.
Once we climb up the ladder, we will be in the middle of the shaft. We look up once again to locate the gate and another ladder [1]. First things first, we stand under the ladder and give Sullivan a leg-up. Then, using the yellow cabinet [2], we climb the wall.
Hanging on the metal edges, we head up over the ventilation shaft, pass over it to the right [1] and then we go down to bypass the next shaft. We approach the lever near the gate [2] and interact with it to open the gate with Sullivan.
After we jump onto the open bridge, we wait for Charlie [1] to move on with the others. We pass a wide tunnel along the way and turn into a dark passage near the wall on the left side [2].
After a few jumps, we reach a cave [1] through which we move carefully, pushing forward.
